She comes with the rising of the temperatures, the budding of the trees, and the blooming of the flowers. Gracefully, she flows into the meadows, fragrantly scenting up all around her. Calmly, she waits for some soul to join her, quietly luring them to her. She’s as ancient as time and as patient as any predator. Her beauty has met no equal, and men gladly die at her feet with a smile. She is more deadly than nightshade and more poisonous than hemlock. They call her Poison Penny, and she comes with Spring

Oo so very vibey indeed. Would read a hundred more paragraphs of vibe alone!
I definitely feel the vibe from this. This story does deserve telling. I will read it if you write it! I want to meet her, this energy that men gladly die for!
Oooo, Poison Penny is like a siren! I aspire to be her! Loved your story!
And so my heart is slain by this queen of all disdain. Quite evocative, Mother. I would love to see what you might do with this, expanding upon her legend.
Beautiful photo and beautiful, poetic prose.
So, this story was so good I had to do a google search to see if there was such a thing as “Poison Penny”. I didn’t find anything concrete, so I gotta ask, what is it and please tell me you’ll be writing more about it!
You amaze me!
Wow, I agree with Kelli--MORE!! This was so good!
wow...this begs for more
I'd like to know more about Poison Penny! Beautiful writing, definitely feels like it could exist just as well on it's own as it could as a potential intro to a fiction, selfishly I hope it's the latter. 💕😉
Whoa, this is such an intriguing beginning to a future story I hope. So full of possibilities.
