It was a wonderful way to propose. I don't know how he contrived to do it which added to its magic. Some sleight of hand when choosing his letters?

We always played Scrabble on Christmas Eve. Eggnog, roaring fire, twinkling lights, soft music. Set the mood. And then we'd sit on the floor and quietly place our words on the board; contemplative, thoughtful, light laughter shared over our choices.

His words were shorter, nothing above five letters although he did get a triple word for "ME" which was genius.

I said "Yes!"

Triple letter for "Y" too for me.

Perfect.
