Peacock Feathers
Exactly 200 Words, No More, No Less

Linda was tired of hiding and thought it might be safe to come out now. She hadn’t heard the hags holler or yell for over thirty minutes. So she crawled out of the cellar she had hidden in and cautiously headed home.
She was halfway home when she heard a cackle behind her. She turned around real fast, and standing behind her was the older of the four hag sisters. Linda went to run to the left, but a hag sister suddenly stepped out of nowhere. The hags surrounded Linda, and she could run nowhere.
The hags advanced on her, grabbed her, and dragged her out to the forest, where they tore her upper tunic and proceeded to whip her with uniquely made peacock whips. The hags lashed at her until they pulled her skin, and then they switched some more. When they were done, they put their whips away.
“That will teach you from stealing our spells, you little thief,” The oldest of the hags said to Linda as they marched off to their den.
Linda held her tunic to her upper body and headed home. She was resolved in her soul to never steal from a witch again.

It's unknown to me what exactly Linda took or how frequently she did so. It follows that that too must be considered. https://ragdollarchers.com/
"Thou shall not steal." Especially from a witch! Excellent job.
"Chilling tale! A lesson learned the hard way about the consequences of meddling with witches. Gripping and cautionary!"
I definitely don't condone stealing but I couldn't help feeling sorry for Linda. I felt like the hag sisters overpunished her. But the thing is, I don't know what Linda stole or how many times she stole from them. So that needs to be taken into account as well. I love stories like this that makes me think!
How brutal!
