Good morning, this is your captain

Please sit down and buckle your belts

We're expecting some slight turbulation

as I'm sure, you've already felt

*

There is no need at all for your worry

we've got things completely in hand

I know sometimes it can be scary

floating 30 thousand feet above land

*

But ol' Tom here and I, are well seasoned

we've been through some turbulent times

The tower is establishing the reason

to decide if we rise or decline

*

As soon as they can, the attendants

will be down the aisle, offering drinks

We will be back with further correspondence

through this storm, in a matter of winks.

*

Did I say storm, well sorry- please, excuse me

I meant to say, this pocket of air

I didn't intend to make this confusing

just stay buckled up tight in your chairs.

*

Oh, wow Tom, that was a doozy

I've never done that move before

I may be sick, I'm feeling quite woozy

turn the auto off, that's not what it's for

*

No, not that switch Tom, are you crazy?

that releases the fuel from the tanks

I believe that drink, made your mind hazy

get your head in the game, ok - thanks!

*

Hey, hello again everyone, it's just me

the one that's controlling this beast

It won't be long until you're finally free

to have corn nuts and biscuits to feast.

*

But for the time being, I kindly ask you

please don't wander the isles or go pee

There isn't anything for you to hold on to

when you enter the loo, or latrines.

*

We have decided to turn on our wifi

keep your devices switched on airplane mode

We recommend watching, Pale Blue eyes

keep your luggage packed, properly stowed

*

Hello tower, it's the captain, of D-8712

have you any further word on our plight?

It's been a while since we heard from you

that last response filled poor Tom up with fright.

*

No, we didn't receive that last warning

the radio has been on the fritz

The mechanic looked at it this morning

when we press the reset, it just quits

*

Uh, negative. We don't have the manual

that's why we have you on the line

No, I don't consider myself very spiritual

what do you mean, get the duct tape and twine?

*

How do we get out of this blender

It's beating us up black and blue

Wait, here's a manual for, bartender?

just add orange or cranberry juice?

*

Come on tower, please give us some answers

these people are counting on us

We're swinging them around like pole dancers

I'm the voice they are choosing to trust

*

Pull up, pull up Tom, it's a mountain

Oh my God, that was a close call

I'm peeing myself like a fountain

you've got us bouncing around like a ball

*

That's what I'm saying, we can't see a thing

we are flying around, blind in these clouds

I thought I heard the fat lady singing

but it was Tom saying his hail Mary's out loud

*

Hello again folks, it's your captain

I realize we left the microphone on

We didn't realize all of that action

blared out over the intercom

*

At this time, we turned off the seatbelt sign

you can get up and do what you must

I'm sure you've come to the conclusion

in a few minutes, we'll be piles of dust

*

I sure hope you enjoyed the movie

please forgive the spoiler alert

But the ending is pretty groovy

before we become a part of the dirt

*

Poe reveals it wasn't Lea, but Landor

who killed all of those young cadets

Wait, what was that tower? I appreciate your candor

Hey folks, we may die, but not yet!

*

That was it tower, yes, I think we got it

another flight safely in the books

And about spoiling the end of the plot twist

remember, nothing is ever how it might look
