Microfiction: a letter
My dear Lipstick,
From the very first time I touched your velvety body, I knew I was made for you.
Every morning, as the human sits at her dressing table I wait bristling with anticipation. I wait, wishing she will pick me to embrace you in a little dance.
You, my dear Lipstick, bold and brilliant, bring colour to every corner of my otherwise dark world. I, then become the carrier of your flavour, your sweetness, the embodiment of the most beautiful crimson I have ever seen.
As the human guides me, I transport your protective magic onto her lips, I remain steady and precise, yet, proud of you, my dear Lipstick. You make the world so much more beautiful and bright!
Once I am back next to you, on the dressing table, I start dreaming of the next time I will touch you. You see, we are nothing alone, just pigment and bristle.
But together? We change faces! We change the world! We empower, we stir hearts, we seal promises, we become one on a mission.
I live to carry your sweetness, your velvety vibrant colour. Together, we paint a kiss onto a canvas that has the potential of becoming a smile.
