A famous photojournalist told me three stories.
Some years ago, a college student came to participate in an instant photo contest held in a certain place. In the zoo, to capture the scene of monkeys playing, he stuck his camera into the cage, and accidentally, the camera was snatched by the monkeys.
Later, the university student asked the janitor to help him and finally retrieved the camera. When the film was developed, he found that there was a picture taken from the monkey cage, with a unique angle and a novel composition, which fixed the joyful expression of the crowd. He sent this photo to the competition and won the grand prize.
On the afternoon of May 9, 2005, a bicyclist was passing by the intersection of Xiahe Road and Fengyu Road in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, in the rain, when the front wheel of his bicycle suddenly fell into a puddle and his body lost balance. The scene happened to be captured by a photojournalist who had been waiting here for a long time and was later reprinted by several media, sparking a controversy about the journalist's lack of compassion.
However, it was a different kind of news photo.
The journalist told the story of when he first joined the work, he held back every day, had to take a good photo to be. The opportunity finally came. On the evening of the second day of the first month of that year, he and his family went to the park to see the lantern show. Walking to the east side of the park, suddenly saw a few children about to climb the park fence, and rushing to pick up the camera. Open, adjust the settings, and press the shutter. But it was still too late.
He believed that there would be people who would climb over the wall to escape the tickets. However, the sky is not as it should be, not only came the cold spell temperature plummeted, but the number of people visiting the park also greatly reduced, he wanted the scene before the 8th day of work is not going to come. He was a little reluctant. At this time, a student-like young man walked past. By some miracle, he suddenly shouted at the student, gave the student 10 yuan, let the student climb the iron fence, and then painfully took a few pictures with excellent results.
After work, he passed the photos to the editor, and they soon appeared in the newspaper and were awarded the Editor-in-Chief's Award. The editor-in-chief commented that on a moonless night, the park was lit up with lanterns, while outside the park, dark shadows were trying to escape the wall. Our young reporter, keenly aware of the scene that was about to happen, opened his camera and waited quietly to freeze the fleeting moment for eternity. He lowered his head in embarrassment, and only he knew exactly how that photo came to be.
The photojournalist concluded: These three stories tell us that there is no secret to taking good photos, only to practice good skills and always carry the camera, and keep looking and waiting patiently.
Life is no different. The Book of Han - suburban sacrifice Zhixia says: "Listen to its words, the ocean full of ears it will be able to meet; seek, swing as tied to the wind to catch the scenery, and finally can not get ......"
All the good things in this world can only be waited for, not forcibly sought. Forced to get, often with a little regret and anxiety. Although the opportunity is equal for everyone, always reserved for those who are prepared.
Therefore, to be able to meet at any time, and to meet after you can seek, but also need to put in some hard work, but also know how to wait. Perhaps, that beautiful thing will come quietly in your silent persistence.
