Marine Corps Stories: Blacker than the Dead of Night
Two Marine pilots discuss the nature of their mission.
Two fighter pilots hover over Saudi Arabia.
“They’re going to think that because we’re black, we are committing black on black crime,” Marine Second Lieutenant Sammy Hauser remarked.
“Well, when these bombs drop, we’re going to know the difference between what makes America right,” Marine Captain Falwell Vault replied.
The bombs exploded over the city of Jeddah.
Once they reported back to their station, they received medals for their honor.
“I can get used to this,” Vault mentioned over a beer.
“I don’t know,” Hauser said. “They were our allies.”
“Not now, and really not ever,” Vault observed. Hauser smirked.
