Withered sad faces whose golden future is written in black ink. They are imprisoned in dark chambers, floating in the sea.
There are no goals or expectations, just an infinite sorrow and and huge emptiness. Then a small spark burns and dispels the darkness, The rebellion of a ten-year-old girl spreads light all around.

wonderfully written story, would have wished a part two of this...couldn't stop reading well done
Superb! Sk. This poem beautifully turns inner turmoil into serene release, with vivid imagery that tempts the soul to embrace stillness and surrender.
Whoaaaa, so poignant and profound. Loved it!
After Shakespeare and Rick Riordan, you are my favorite author, SK! By the way, did you comment on my recent poem? It's not visible, but the notification says otherwise.
This story reflects a contrast between despair and hope. The humans imprisoned in the dark and floating with misery show strong imagery of lost hope. The 10-year-old girl shows that even in the darkest and deepest grounded piles of melancholy there lies hope and shine. Well written brother, 53 words are truly amazing. 👌🙌
