The Strength C1
Belladonna Hunter slouched in a metal chair under the awning of her favourite coffee shop, her legs crossed. An iced vanilla latte and her phone sat on the patio table in front of her. Her heart sank in disappointment with the realization that she'd been stood up again. J0eSm1th1983 was supposed to have met her half an hour ago. She was certain she'd spotted him from across the patio; he'd made eye contact with her and quickly kept walking. She'd even done her very best to look good that day, opting to put in her contact lenses instead of wearing her glasses since the purple colour didn't go with everything she wore. Her hair was brushed to a shine and was braided down her back.

Just over the last war on earth which happened on May 24, 2028, there was so much chaos around and civility was not present. This is strange because no one was left alive, the colony was destroyed.

Betty's Locket
Near dusk, Reverie Miles kneeled before her father’s tombstone and relived her people’s history… The Last War decimated ninety percent of the world population and left most of the planets topsoil stewing in a layer of radioactive contamination that would render the surface uninhabitable for a century. Fortunately for a few G8 countries—particularly the U.S.A.—Deep Under Ground Military Bases provided safe-haven for a percentage of the American population.

Saving Amelia
If I’d had any water left in my body, the heat would have left me a hot, sticky mess. But it felt like a lifetime since I’d emptied my canteen, so long since I’d quenched my thirst that there was no water left in my body. I thought about taking a sip from Amelia’s bottle; I’d been sure to fill hers to the top. I resisted though. I couldn’t risk anything else happening to her.

The End is Upon Us
The horizon was just starting to glow orange when Yumi slipped out of her house and into the field behind. The grass was just tall enough to tickle the tips of her fingers as she waded into it; early morning dew soaking through her cotton trousers in just moments. All remnants of the warmth she’d retained from her bed left her as a chilly wind gusted around her, finding every hole and worn patch of her threadbare jacket. The grass flattened down in the weather, exposing twisted and rusted metal waste leftover from The War to End All Wars, which did not end all wars. Not at all. In fact, it triggered such violence and chaos that the reign of humans over the continent of Asia came to a swift end. Weapons of mass destruction fell from the skies more frequently than rain, destroying all they touched and wrecking havoc with the atmosphere above.
