Laila's Journey to the Sky".

Laila’s Wish

By Abdul QuddusPublished about a year ago 3 min read

In a small village, there lived a girl named Laila. Laila was just 15 years old, but her life was very different from the other children her age. While other children ran around and played in the fields, Laila had to stay inside her small room all day. She was sick, and her legs didn’t work as they should. Every day, she would look out of her window and see the blue sky, the trees swaying in the wind, and the birds flying freely. She longed to be outside, to feel the cool breeze on her face, and to walk under the open sky.

Laila remembered how she used to play with her friends when she was younger. She would run, jump, and laugh with them. But now, she could only watch from her window. Her heart ached to be outside again. Sometimes, she would close her eyes and imagine herself running in the fields, feeling the grass beneath her feet and the wind in her hair.

Laila nodded, but deep down, she wasn’t sure. Yet, she didn’t want to give up. She decided that she would try her best to get better. Every day, she began doing small exercises in her room. At first, it was very hard. Her legs felt weak, and she could barely move them. But Laila didn’t give up. She kept trying, even when it was painful. Little by little, she began to get stronger.

Months passed, and Laila’s condition improved. She could now stand up with the help of her mother. It wasn’t easy, and she often felt tired, but she was determined. One day, she told her mother, "I want to go outside today. I want to feel the wind on my face."

Her mother looked at her with a mix of worry and hope. She knew how much Laila wanted this, but she was also afraid that it might be too much for her. Still, she smiled and said, "Okay, Laila. Let’s try."

Laila’s heart pounded with excitement. Slowly, with her mother by her side, she stood up. Every step she took felt like a victory. She was shaky, but she kept going, holding her mother’s hand tightly. They reached the door, and as it opened, Laila felt a rush of fresh air. She took a deep breath, and tears filled her eyes.

The world outside was even more beautiful than she had remembered. The sky was a bright blue, the trees were full of green leaves, and the birds were singing sweetly. Laila closed her eyes and let the wind caress her face. It was the most wonderful feeling she had experienced in a long time.

From that day on, Laila made it a point to go outside every day, even if it was just for a little while. She grew stronger with each passing day, and her smile returned. She was no longer the sad girl who could only watch the world from her window. Now, she was a part of it again.

Laila’s story shows us that no matter how difficult life gets, we should never give up hope. With courage, determination, and the support of loved ones, we can overcome even the toughest challenges. Laila’s dream of walking under the blue sky and feeling the cool breeze finally came true, and she learned to live her life with joy and gratitude.

In the end, it wasn’t just about going outside. It was about Laila finding her strength and believing in herself. She realized that even the smallest steps could lead to the biggest victories. And with that belief, Laila lived a happy and fulfilling life, surrounded by the beauty of the world she had longed to be a part of.
