Joe-ism

The effects of spending to much time around the writer known as Joe Patterson

By Joe PattersonPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Ashley never thought in a million years that hanging around her best friend and Vocal writer, Joe Patterson would come with consequences. Joe often joked that hanging around him too much would lead to what he referred to as “Joe-ism”. According to Joe himself, Joe-ism is when you unconsciously start mimicking the ways of Joe because you’ve soaked them up so much in his presence. Ashley was sure it wasn’t going to happen to her.

Ashley woke up on Saturday morning and was looking for breakfast. She normally liked pancakes with bacon and eggs, but for some odd reason she only wanted a cup of Maruchan noodles with some hot sauce and orange juice. She then thought to herself, “That’s strange. I normally think noodles are nasty, but Joe loves them.” Ashley then checked her phone and saw that it was only eight o’ clock in the morning. She thought getting up that early was disgusting, but strangely enough, Joe loved getting up at eight in the morning.

After her noodle filled breakfast Ashley decided she was gonna go for a walk. She normally never had the energy for walks, but Joe always did. After walking for an hour she already had her mind made up that she wanted French fries for lunch. “Oh God” she thought. Joe’s weird self always wanted fries for lunch. By this time there was no denying the facts. Ashley realized that she had developed a case of Joe-ism. What was she to do now?
