And the reporter said something about Dragons?

"There weren't always dragons in the Valley." What did he say? Dragons? No way! "Well, just listen said hubby. It is a new sports team name. Guess why?" No clue I responded. "It is what is happening all around the country with changing sports teams' names so as not to upset the Indigenous people."

They are always upset about something! "Now honey, our ancestors didn't like it when they were the ones being conquered either. The spoils always go to the victor or something like that. But the conquered don't have to like it! And if they can complain and have things change, they will!"

I love it here and hope we never have to pick up and leave again. This planet is perfect for us. They can have their changed sports team names. "What's next? There will be something next." And we can deal with that when we need to. This planet is big enough for all of us!

We have some technology that will fix some of the problems here on planet Earth. We have relatives living here already and that is the best part, I think. These relatives have been mistreated and we will remedy that. Most are not aware of the relationship, however, they will know soon enough.

I went for a drive yesterday and right away I spotted a red-tailed hawk and I thought, oh no. What am I going to run into? I almost ran over a porcupine as right away I wasn’t paying attention. Down the road I saw another hawk and again, not paying attention, I almost hit a car that pulled out right in front of me.

I guess the red-tailed hawk is my messenger to watch out for. That spirit animal thing does sound superstitious and naive! Then again if it works why not use it. I must pay closer attention to when I get those tips.

This is truly a beautiful world. I do not miss where we were living before at all. I drive into a small village and recognize some of the people I see. Relatives I think. Quickly I stop and speak to a few of the kids that are shooting hoops.

I ask the kids what they think of the new sports team names changing all over the country. One boy said, "We experienced this not too many moons ago. My grandparents think this is hilarious. And when I ask them about it, all they ever say is what goes around comes around!"

Do you think I might speak with your grandparents? Yes. They are right over there. They came with us to shoot baskets today and to get some sun they said.

I quickly walked over to them and asked to speak with them. I started by introducing myself in my language. Boozhoo, wagoosh bimibatood indizhinikaz, makwa indodeem. They responded in kind. Then I told them I came from another planet. And our people are the invaders of this planet.

In the year 2062, your time, we were under attack from a strong invader whom we could not fight. They had weapons that we had no match for. Many of our people died and others came to this planet to escape from what was happening there.

We have known our relatives were here for thousands of years and it was determined that we would survive and even thrive here. We are all related. You are my relatives! Please know that we will make life easier for you in some ways. And other things will be tougher. Living off the land is important.

Striving to fix the problems that are so clear to our people, may create others equally problematic.
