I rush to Leonard Pinkston’s office and trip over his briefcase. He glances up, swivels toward his computer, and scans email. “How dare you intrude.”
I glance at the blood on my knee. "Sir, there’s…."
“Know what’s wrong with you? Easily distracted. Know why I can multitask? he asks.”
"Sir, a gas leak...."
“I’ll tell you why. I have a high intelligence quotient.”
"Sir…the kitchen… a gas leak!"
“You’re average,” he says.
"Sir…leave now!"
I run out with colleagues.
Explosion—greenish, yellowish flames.
The colors remind me of the aurora borealis.

What a vivid and tense scene! Perfect dialogue and a dynamic contrast to the aurora image.Good job and astonishing- creative imagination!
The dialogue is superb here. I love the sense of dark humor in Leonard Pinkston’s character. Your writing is so vivid.
