Deep Sea Dimensions

By BJ RisnerPublished 4 years ago 4 min read

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. I guess the same could be said for the depths of the ocean. To my surprise, I never realized how closely related those two entities were… until now!

Maybe I should have paid more attention to astronomy in science class. The stars and space were never my aspiration, as my ambition was always to explore below the seas. I can’t tell you exactly when my current journey began, because I have since lost all concept of time. I’m still trying to connect all the dots, and haven’t quite measured how days equate where I stand today. That place I currently stand appears to be one of Jupiters moons. How I got here is another riddle I’m working on solving.

Let’s just say, I was back on earth some time ago, maybe a week, maybe a month. It could have even been years considering time dilation. If I travel through space, do I also travel through time? I may even currently exist far into my past or future. It may be a separate dimension or even a different timeline. I’ve had a lot of time to think about it and my imagination has been running wild. I’m getting ahead of myself though, so let me start from my last moments on earth.

As I mentioned, I’m no astronomer, and I’m certainly no astronaut. However, I am an explorer. I have a degree in marine biology. My mission and lifelong dream on earth was to explore the depths of the Mediterranean Sea. My goal was to discover Atlantis, even if it was the last thing I did on earth. I accomplished just that!

Unfortunately, I may never be able to report my discoveries back on earth, so that is why I am documenting my findings now in hopes that one day someone will know my story. Maybe I am not the first. Perhaps others preceded my discovery of Atlantis to never return. I now completely comprehend the meaning of “The Lost City.”

The Mediterranean has always been a significant source to civilization, dating back to ancient times. It has been essential for food sources directly or via trade routes for thousands of years and is in a very significant location historically for our planet. The simplicity I seen that it could all once be dry land before releasing it to the Atlantic Ocean via the Straight of Gibraltar made me confident, along with clues from Plato’s Dialogues, that Atlantis did not only exist, but was somewhere in this vicinity. I spent the last two years exploring the depths of this sea before my discovery.

Not much of Atlantis seemed to remain other than the mega structures. Thousands of years of water erosion and aquatic life made it hard to determine what most structures once were lying in rubble below the depths of the sea. What did still exist in somewhat recognizable form, was a compilation that appeared similar to Stonehenge. Directly in the middle of this were two giant towers with a connecting stone on top, that resembled a doorway, or in my head, similar to the Pi symbol. This is most likely the representation of the pillars of Hercules from Plato’s Dialogues. This doorway led to a giant pyramid, identical to the Great Pyramid of Giza. And in that pyramid, was an opening too irresistible for me not to explore.

Upon entering the pyramid, the corridor split into three tunnels, each marked with a different geometric shape over its entrance. I chose the center pathway represented by a star. A few minutes into it was another set of three tunnels, this time each marked by mathematical symbols. Again, I chose the middle route marked by the Pi symbol, since that is what the pillars brought to mind. As I entered it, I immediately noticed an opening above me as light shined down from above. I went towards the light and immediately came to the surface of the water. That’s not possible! I was miles below the surface! I also had never left the pyramid. How can this be??

I immediately realized I was not familiar with my location. This was not the middle of the Mediterranean. I was just a short swimming distance from the shore. I made my way to land to collect my thoughts and began to notice as the trees along the shore came closer. They weren’t green, but blue. Was I suffering oxygen deprivation? Did I get the bends from ascending too fast? Am I hallucinating from dehydration?

Once on land, I removed my diving gear and found my answer that only brought more questions. In the sky, it wasn’t the sun or moon that caught my eye. It was Jupiter! I don’t mean that bright distant star that we see in the sky, but the giant of our solar system up close with every detail. Surely I’m dreaming, right? Whatever it is that occurred in that pyramid beneath the sea, this is clearly my new reality.
