I'm Being Followed By A Sky-Ku
Inspired by the poem by Murray Lachlan-Young, A Cat That Stalks Me For Treats And the Current Vocal Challenge
I'm being followed
I'm being followed
I'm being followed by a Sky-Ku
It sits on my windowsill and looks at me through my window
I don't know what it wants. When I go out at night there is a yellow glow ten yards behind me and when I look I see glowing green eyes.
When I meet people in cafés it sits with its nose pressed against the window. When I point it out to my friends they tell me there's nothing there, but I can see it.
When I go into the supermarket, even during the day, the Sky-Ku stalks me. It will not leave me alone.
It looks kind of cute but if I turn towards it or try to give it some treats, it disappears and the treats are left untouched.
When I wake up the Sky-Ku is sat on my windowsill.
I don't know what it wants
I'm being followed by a Sky-Ku, and it won't leave me alone.
It's not a problem, it's just always there, and it seems I am the only one who can see the creature.
I think I have been adopted by it.
So now everywhere I go
I'm being followed
I'm being followed
I'm being followed by a Sky-Ku

Caves have an odd smell: mineral, fungal, traces of the feces of bats and the slow rot of silent, blind fish in dark, subterranean pools. I have heard the young men of the village mock each other by sniffing an exhalation and declaring: "Cave breath!" as though it were a mortal insult, some potent hex. I know what they mean, now. Imagine that the petrichor, the rich and pungent cologne that rain dapples soil with, became concentrated, corrupted, and was breathed into the mouth of someone who will never, fully exhale.

I like that you added where you got the inspiration, The entire piece made sense, when I used his voice and music style to your words
I wanted to ask you something. I have emailed support, but am waiting for an answer. I was wondering if you get paid for external views. Because I have written a story, and doing an experiment about a recent story. A have a large Facebook following that have let me know that they have read the story. But it does not show on my stats. Does it take awhile to show on my stats or did they change that too. I don't not seem to be able to get a foot hold internally. Did they change it and no longer pay for external views.
