Houseboat
houseboats, board games and swimming.
"Hey, Matt can you make sure everything is okay outside?" Jessie called out from the kitchen. "Can you make sure that all the ropes are secured so we don't get lost at sea?"
"Of course my Love," Matt called out from the front door." I was already on my way out to make sure the house was secured and wouldn't float away."
As Matt goes outside to make sure the boat house is okay, Jessy takes a bowl of popcorn back to the living room and sits on the floor with the others.
"Gosh, this storm is getting out of hand," Britney looked out the window. "Are we safe in this boat you call a house?"
Jessie laughs; "Yes. Yes, we are safe in here. I'd say if you ask me it's safer in a boat than we are in a house on land."
"Tell that to the 2,000 people who were on the Titanic," Jake says- everyone in the room bursts out laughing.
"Touché."
About an hour goes by before Jessie realizes that Matt has been gone for too long. He should have come back in by now.
"Has anyone seen Matt? Has he come back in yet?" Jessie asks. Little bit worried about Matt she gets up from the group to go look outside to find out what is going on.
Jessie made it to the door when she heard yelling from outside then a splash. Everyone in the living room heard it and Jessie lunged for the door handle to open it.

Before. The Morning of the end.
Matt was already in the kitchen when Jessie walked in the kitchen.
"Morning Love," Matt looked up from cutting up some fruit for breakfast.
"Morning Babe. You're up Early."
"Yup. Trying to get some things done this morning before everyone comes over this evening. Between that and the storm coming in I want to make sure everything is all done and good to go. I don't want to have to worry to much about things when the storm hits."
Jessie sat on one of the stools at the island Matt was using to cut up the food for tonight.
"Fair enough. Should we even still have people come over tonight?" Jessie worried about the strom. "We are expected to get hurricane weather starting around 2 this afternoon."
It was their night to host the weekly movie/ game night.
"Ahhhhhh, We'll be fine," As per usual Matt just brushes it off.
Jessie shruggs and leans over for a piece of pineapple and a kiss from Matt; "If you say so handsome."
"It's Chef Handsome to you good looking," Matt whinks at Jessie. Jessie blushes and giggles like a school girl before running off back to the bedroom to get dressed.
3 p.m. Both the storm and people started to showing up. Their group of friends consists of 3 other couples and 2 other friends. Making them a group of 10 friends.
6 p.m Both the storm was at full force and everyone has shown up. Matt and the guys had plans on BBQing tonight but do to the weather they had a change of dinner plans. They ended up making a few home made pizzas for dinner tonight.
As Matt and Jake were in the kitchen finishing up dinner, Jessie noticed Max had stepped outside. Not that it was a big deal but when there is hurricane weather outside. It was odd that he would even want to go outside to begin with. Jessie really didn't think to much of it, to be honest.

Now.
Hearing a splash Jessie ran outside, not knowing if it was Matt falling in the water or the storm clashing with the boat. Jessie searched the whole boat and couldn't find Matt anywhere; "Matt!!!! Where are you!"
It's soo stormy outside it's suprising Jessie could even hear herself yell over the storm. Jessie was dragged back inside by Max and Ron.
"No! You can't! We need to find Matt!" Jessie tried to fight them off.
"Jessie! It's too dangerous to search for him!" Max tried to explain to him.
Max. Max, where did he come from? Jessie couldn't believe it. Jessie gave Max a concern look. Moments before Matt disappered Max went outside. How did he get back inside without anyone noticing?
"The search and rescue have been called," Rose hangs up her cell phone and puts it in her back pocket. "They are on their way and should be here and soon as they can."
With the storm and all. Suprising search and rescue came within the hour. They came with the police and investigators.
While search and rescue try to find Matt, the police and investigators sepreate everyone to question them.
Unfortunately, they found Matt's deceased body. One of the search and rescuers had pulled one of the officers aside to tell him the news. Between the medic, him and the other officers and what they were told by everyone at the dinner party, they have concluded that this wasn't an accident. Matt was murdered.
They looked towards the living room hwere everyone was sitting. Everyone looked nervous and worried. Except for Max. He was stone cold frozen. Jessie looked at him with suspicion.
Now the officers came back with harder questions. They are now not letting up because this just went from a search and rescue to a murder. The officers intended on finding out the truth and murderer by the end of this night.
At the rate of this storm it wasnt letting up nor was the police and investigators. The officer who was told about the body stepped forward to the group.
"Okay, what really happened tonight. No one is leaving this boat till we have some answers."
Amber sobing; "But we told you everything we know!"
"Then why is your friend found dead?"
"Dead? Dead?! How can he be dead? He just went to make sure everything was alright outside!" Jessie in denial.
"Yes, we understand that," the officer was trying to sound sympathetic.
Jessie sobbing and crying. Max tried to weasel his way out of the room in secret. Jessie noticed this.
"Wait!" Jessie managed to get out. "Max. Max had slipped out the front door moments before Matt went out."
Max nearly shit himself. His face went pale like he seen a ghost.
"What are you talking about Jessie? I was sitting with you pretty much up until you got up to talk to Matt."
"Don't lie, Max. I seen you," Jessie pissed at the fact he tried to gaslight her into thinking she was crazy. "You and Matt had a fight the other day. I'm not even sure why you even came today. Matt said you weren't going to come. You werent supposed to be here."
"We talked it out yesterday," again trying to cover his ass.
"I don't think so," Jessie stood up and walked towards Max. "He told me himself this morning that you were not coming today and you two were not talking."
"You're just upset about Matt falling in the water and dying."
"Excuse me. No, you don't get to do this. You dont get to come in my home and go outside moments before Matt goes outside than tell me I am crazy."
"You don't know what you are talking about."
"I don't? Please explain why on the camereas you are stepping outside moments before Matt?"
"Camereas? What are you talking about? You don't have cameras," Max nervously laughed.
"You have cameras?" An officer stepped forward. "That changes everything."
Jessie walks across the room to her bag to pull out her iPad. Pulls up the footage. It showed Max leaving out the front door moments before Jessie getting up to get Matt to check on the outside.
"Do you have camereas outside too?" The officer trying to sound hopeful.
Jessie switched over the camereas to the footage outside. Max tried to snatch the iPad out of her hands. Baily and Jake blocking him and pinning him against the wall. Max is now screaming at Jessie.
"You cunt. Matt should of left you years ago. It was you who should of been outside. Not Matt."
The officer took the iPad and watched the footage; "What are you talking about."
"It was a set up. The camerea's were supposed to be off. You were supposed to come outside but a storm had to ruin everything. You had to nag and have him go."
"But why? Why do you want me dead for?"
"You know why-"
"Max- you are under arrest for the murder of Matt and the conspiracy of murder on Jessie."
