"Stop it, you are making my tummy sore!" I yelled within my bursts of laughter. My friends and I hung around the bonfire behind the cemetary like we always do every Hallows Eve. We tell eachother spooky stories, play truth or dare and enjoy coke and rum we steal from our mothers' cupboards. Addison pointed at me, laughing at my stomach pain from laughing too hard at her utterly disgusting joke. "And to think, you could 'stomach' your alchohol!" She exclaimed, pulling her straight, blonde hair into a messy bun. I always admired her pale skin and blue eyes. She looked even more mesmerizing in the light from the flames. Each flicker of fire would reflect against her glowing skin and brightened her blue eyes. She smiled at me and we laughed some more, as I stopped my own trance.

"Oh my gosh, you guys!" I exclaimed as I brought out my backpack which was muddy from resting behind the log I sat on. "Let's do something different this year." Our small group cheered for my idea and I unzipped my bag, feeling tipsy. "What is it, Zoey?" Addison asked, biting her bottom lip as she moved closer to me. Alexis, Meagan and Autumn all crept up as well to see what I had in my mysterious backpack. After all, I am the only one who brought one. I pulled out some white pillar candles, a red cloth and table salt. After I set all the items down and smiled big and devious at the girls. "Let's have a seance." I whispered." Everyone except Addison agreed with the idea. We rose to our feet and walked over to a tree stump not too far from our fire which was burning down anyways. I felt a pull on my arm before I could join the circle and realized in the dim night is was Addison and she looked worried.

"I don't think this is a good idea." She said. I narrowed my eyes and held Addison's hand. "Don't worry," I said reassuring her. "It's just for fun. It's tradition to have some fun on Hallows Eve." I went to turn back but Addison pulled me again and this time I pulled away, annoyed. "It's tradition to have fun playing Truth or Dare. Not to have a seance. It's dangerous." I sighed and tossed my curly hair behind my shoulder. I checked my jean vest and jeans for any dirt and applied some lipgloss from my back pocket. "Fine," I said. "Addison? Truth or dare?" Addison smiled and put both her hands in her brown jacket pockets. "Dare." She answered. I smiled and pulled her close so that my lips were barely touching the lope of her ear. "I dare you to choose a soul to bring back for our seance," I whispered. Addison didn't look too pleased as I joined the other girls who were begging me to get the seance started.

"Hurry up!" Whined Meagan who hid her chin in her black scarf. "Yeah Zoey, it's cold!" Alexis confirmed. "I'm here, and Addison is going to choose a soul for us to bring back." Addison rolled her eyes and we all joined the circle. I placed the 3 pillar candles on the stump after laying down the red cloth and lit them. I sprinkled salt around the candles and turned to Addison who sat across from me again. "Okay Addison," I said as we all took each other's hands. "Who is your chosen soul?" Addison closed her eyes for a moment and breathed. After 5 breaths, she opened them again and smiled. "My Gran," she said. The girls and I laughed at her and quickly piped down as we saw her disappointed look.

"Choose someone we all will enjoy." Suggested Autumn. Autumn was older than us and already in college, but we never did anything without her. She has been a leader, enthusiast and best friend to all of us for our whole lives. She even babysat some of us. Her long brown hair blew in the wind as she waited for Addison to choose again. "Something we can all enjoy, huh?" Addison repeated. We waited for Addison to choose again and cheered as we saw the full moon uncover itself from the grey clouds and shine above us ever so brightly. "Lucifer." She said with a wicked smile. The other girls agreed but something didn't feel right when she said his name. It gave me sudden chills and an unsettling feeling in my stomach but I went along with it anyways. I will not be seen as a hypocrite by telling Addison to have fun and then I back out; no way! I lit the candles and we all closed our eyes, chanting: Lucifer, we call to you. Come walk on the Earth again. We said these words three times and finally opened our eyes.

Addison frowned around we all looked around for a sign. "Guys," Addison said disappointed. "Nothing is happening." We decided to try again, but still, nothing happened. I sighed. "Well, that blows," I said. "The movies make it seem cool." We all sighed and complained about the boring seance and just as we were about to leave, an unfamiliar voice startled us.

"Hey, guys!" Exclaimed a squeaky female voice. we jumped and felt relieved. "Hi." We all said. The girl was creepy. She wore short shorts and a white Tee. "Who are you?" Autumn asked for all of us. The girl smiled and tilted her perky head. She looked like a cheerleader. I noticed purple bruises on her neck and stepped forward. "Yo, what's up with your neck?" I asked, pointing at her. The girl's smile faded and her eyes turned red. "Yo." She repeated in a chilling, scratchy voice. Her voice made us all jump. "What happened to respect for the dead?" The girly suddenly vanished in mid-air and we all looked around for her. "Oh my god, oh my god..." Meagan whined again, holding her face. Addison glared at me and I felt guilt in my stomach.

"I told you this wasn't a good idea." Addison reminded me as we all sat at Autumn's kitchen table. All of us are pretty shaken up by that horrifying experience. That cheerleader chick was creepy. I shivered at the thought of her tilting her head and the way her eyes changed color. The way her neck was bruised made me even more terrified of her.

"It was just a girl trying to scare us." I huffed, shaking off the bad feeling I hold in my chest. Addison rolled her eye and meagan started to cry. Autumn and me held Meagan and tried to calm her down. "I want to go home." She whimpered. "Okay," said Autumn as she caressed meagans forehead. Meagan sniffled and stood up. We all got ready to take Meagan home and then the lights went out. "Uhm, Autumn?" Addison called. "I don't remember the news saying there would be a storm tonight." Autumn cleared her throat. "There isn't." she said firmly. The lights flicked back on and all of screamed as we saw three men standing by the kitchen table.

"Silence!" Yelled the tallest man who is fairly slim and looked angry. "You called for us, didn't you? Now, you must meet your maker!" The men pulled out knifes and we screamed again, pushing eachother as we ran out of the door. I stopped as everyone ran towards Autumn's car. I didn't know by bringing one soul back I would be opening a gateway for all the hosts of hell.
