Girl Trapped With An Invisible Man

Nick Powell had always been the golden boy. A high school senior on the verge of graduation, he was a straight-A student, a prodigy in the making. But beneath the surface of his polished life was a deep longing—a desire to escape his overbearing mother, Diane, and chase his dream of becoming a writer. His plan? Skip graduation and fly to London for an exclusive writer’s workshop. His reality, however, was about to take a turn darker than any fiction he had ever written.

A Celebration or a Nightmare?

At the Powell household, a grand celebration was underway. Diane, a woman of rigid control, raised a toast to her son’s academic achievements. The guests cheered, yet Nick felt suffocated. He slipped away, seeking solitude in the garage. There, he dreamt of an unsettling scene—a shotgun to his face. Startled awake, he brushed it off and moved on with his day. But was it just a dream, or a premonition?

A Clash of Worlds

At school, Nick wasn’t just the bright student everyone admired—he was also the guy who did homework for money. His best friend, Peter Egan, however, had his own set of troubles. Bullied by a dangerous girl named Annie Newton, Peter was trapped in her web of crime. When Annie demanded money for a stolen phone, Peter had none to offer. Enter Nick, who tried to intervene, only to insult Annie, branding her an emotionally broken person. The insult struck deep, igniting a vendetta that would spiral into something far worse.

A Betrayal in the Shadows

That night, Peter and Nick had a quiet moment. Nick revealed his secret—his flight to London was booked, and he was leaving soon. But fate had other plans. Elsewhere, Annie and her delinquent boyfriend, Marcus, were up to no good. A stolen car. A shattered jewelry store window. A police alert. When Annie was arrested, she was desperate to find out who had snitched. Marcus had sold her out, but Peter, caught in fear, falsely named Nick as the informant.

A Deadly Confrontation

At a house party, Nick changed his mind. He handed his London ticket to a random girl, choosing to stay. But on his way home, a car followed him. Annie and her gang emerged, their rage boiling over. They beat him mercilessly. In a moment of blind fury, Annie delivered the final blow—one that sent Nick tumbling down a slope, his head colliding with a rock. Panic set in. They weren’t just bullies anymore; they were criminals. They dumped his body in a storm drain, covering their tracks.

The Vanishing Act

But then, the impossible happened. The next morning, Nick woke up, unharmed. He walked into school, only to find that no one could see him. He spoke, but no one heard. Objects moved through him as if he weren’t there. Was he dead? A ghost? A mere echo of his former self?

The Search Begins

As his mother reported him missing, detectives combed through the woods, uncovering tire tracks and shattered glass—clues leading back to Annie. But when questioned, she feigned ignorance. Meanwhile, Nick struggled to comprehend his existence. He saw an injured bird outside his window, only for a living version of it to appear on his shoulder. A message, perhaps? A sign?

The Invisible Truth

Nick’s world was unraveling. As the search party intensified, his spirit hovered between life and death. Would justice prevail? Would Annie’s conscience break? Or was Nick destined to remain unseen forever? One thing was certain—some mysteries are meant to be solved, but others, like The Invisible, remain trapped between reality and oblivion.
