Four Seasons

Time

Four seasons, is about a ten year old boy, that remembers his childhood, on a family orchard. Ten year old peter, and family, work on, a family orchard, surrounded by, pears, apples and other farm fresh foods. Peters dad micheal, helps his brother joseph, run the orchard. One day, joseph, asked peter to grab some pails, and follow him. Once they arrive at the orchard, they begin, to pick the fresh pears, from the tree. They take the pears and head back home. During the walk back, to the house, joseph tells peter, they’ll be harvesting the fruits soon, to trade for other goods, at the county market. The next sunday, peter, watched from the kitchen window, as his father and uncle, attended the harvest, with others. The fruits were picked and harvested. They would trade, for cotton and other goods from the town market

Wonderland

A few weeks, after the harvest, peter and his father, returned to the farm. They would help joseph and family, get ready, for the holidays. The snow was falling, and leaves where falling, from the trees. The orchard had turned into, a winter wonderland. Joseph and cousin maddie, decide to run through the orchard. As they’re running, they find a watch, the watch had stopped, twelve am, was the time, displayed. Peter tells maddie, he’ll keep the watch, and not tell their parents about it. On the second day, after finding the watch, maddie suddenly falls ill. They call doctors in, from town, to attend to maddie. The next week, joseph falls ill. This was terrible timing because christmas was just a month away. Doctors continue to work on maddie, for weeks. A week before christmas, peter takes a walk in the orchard, and places the watch, back where he had found it. The next day, maddie was up and talking, she had miraculously healed. Her cough was gone, she was up and walking. The following days, Joseph regains his strength.

Holiday Lessons

As the ill, had gotten better, peter decides, to tell his father about the watch. Michael tells peter, to never visit the orchard again, without him. Peter sat and pondered about the watch, why had maddie suddenly healed, why had joseph regained his strength? They had, always had good memories, at the orchard, the recent events were puzzling. Peter really liked the watch, he didn’t want to tell anyone, about it, but it wasn’t his.

The Night Before Christmas

The night before christmas, peter and family, all went to the farm house, to bring in the holiday. They wrapped gifts, danced and sang, for they were happy, about everyone’s regained health. The next morning, they awake to open presents, everyone was overjoyed. But, peter was still disturb, by the watch. He decided to tell his father, about finding the watch, in the orchard. His father tells him, that the watch was his great grandfathers, a war veteran and military officer. Peter is blown away. He tells his father, that he returned the watch to the orchard.

The two of them, start walking, towards the orchard. They collect the watch and head back to the family gathering.

On the table, are fresh vegetables, fruit, fresh baked breads, they sit to eat. The holidays were the best time, with family. They would celebrate a successful the holiday season.

Peters father explains to him, that he should never pick up things, that don’t belong to him, for it could bring bad luck. After that christmas, peter had a new view on life and took those lessons with him, throughout his life. Years later, peters father, would give him the watch. He never had, a streak of bad luck, for years to come.
