Feel.

Unspoken words.

By Oyinade Published 2 years ago 1 min read

As they gaze into each other's eyes, their silent conversation begins.

Jo's eyes are pools of emotion, reflecting a mixture of sadness and longing. James, on the other hand, carries a look of understanding and empathy in his gaze.

Jo reaches into her bag and pulls out an old, weathered notebook. She opens it, revealing pages filled with handwritten notes and sketches. Her fingers trace the pages, stopping at a drawing of a tree with two birds perched on its branches. She points to the birds, then to James, and finally to herself.

James nods slowly, acknowledging the symbolism. He extends his hand, and Jo places the notebook in his palm. James flips to an empty page and, with a pen, draws a heart with an arrow through it. He circles the arrow and then draws two birds, flying away from the heart.

Jo watches his hand, her eyes welling up with tears. She takes the pen from him and adds a broken chain, connecting the two birds. It's a profound visual representation of their unspoken emotions.

James smiles sadly, knowing that the chain can be mended with time and effort. He takes Jo's hand, and they sit in silence, their connection deeper and more profound than words could ever express.
