A flashing speed sign on the side of the road showed a toll booth a kilometer ahead, and bright white lights emerged from the pitch black. The man let out a long, relieved breath.

"We should be in the normal area. After the toll booth, you get off and go, see if there is a passing car to give you a lift back, let that father of yours give someone a little money on it." The man touched a few bills in his hand ready to pay the toll, and reached down to pull the knife embedded in the car door.

"Where are you going?" The Chu asked.

"They'll be chasing me." The man said, "Don't worry, your old man is capable, and this car, a $9 million Maybach, is no joke, I can run faster than them."

What time is it, still showing off his car? Chu Zhang looked at the man speechlessly.

"I'm joking with you, don't take it seriously." The man laughed, "But it's okay, I still have to go to your parent-teacher conference, don't worry ...... son."

Maybach did not slow down, the toll station is getting closer and closer, and the blazing white light makes people feel warm, like night pedestrians in the mist saw the oil lamp under the eaves of the hostel, can not help but speed up the pace, to get there to put down all the restlessness. Chu Zhang and men are eagerly looking ahead.

The car slowed down violently, the brake pads hissed harshly.

"No...... not right!" The man said hoarsely.

Chu Zhang also realized that something was wrong. The light ahead radiated not only warmth but also solemnity and grandeur, like ...... pilgrims stepping toward the temple of God.

Right! That eagerness to approach is not the feeling of seeing a lighthouse in the sea, but the feeling of devoutly worshipping God! So anxious to get close, anxious to get close to the light of God.

But Chu Zhang did not believe in God, did not believe in any God ...... before he saw that light.

They stopped, but the lights were approaching them, the wisps of white light that radiated in the darkness and rain.

Chu Zhang heard the sound of a horse neighing, he thought it was an illusion. Although very much like the sound of a horse neighing, if it is recognized that is the sound of a horse neighing, that horse should be what a huge thing! Its roar was deep and majestic, like a thundering roar in its mouth, and it shot lightning from its nostrils.

"Listen to your old man, don't get too far away from me, and don't get too close." The man twisted his head to look at Chu Zhang, "It's like when I took you to fly a kite when I was little."

The kite never leaves the person flying the kite very far away, because the kite line is connected. The moment it is far away is when the kite line breaks.

  Chu Zhang nodded his head.

"Fasten your seat belt!" The man stepped on the gas pedal with full force.

The Maybach rushed out with maximum acceleration, rushing towards the white light and slamming straight into it. The water mist was chopped away, and Chu Zhang suddenly saw clearly that in that white light stood ......

His worldview collapsed, everything he believed in before completely shattered, and the world is not at all what he imagined!

In the white light stood the mountain-like magnificent stallion, which was clad in heavy armor of metal misshapen, white fur flowing with crystal-like glow, eight majestic legs like a wheeled crane used to stabilize the body of the support. It gouges the ground with its dark golden paws, the hard pavement is turned by it one wound after another. The horse wore a mask on its face, and after each thunderous neigh, the metal nostrils of the mask spewed out fine shavings of electricity.

On the horse's back sat a huge black shadow, covered in heavy armor of dark gold, rain spilled on it, armor like a shimmering layer. He carried a curved lance in his hand, the arc of the gun like a shooting star across the sky. With the iron face, the only golden pupil as if a giant lamp illuminated the surrounding.

In Nordic mythology, the main god of the Asgard race, Odin!

Chu Zhang had read about him in a book. Now he was here, as in the legend, riding the eight-legged steed Sleipnir, carrying a lance made from the branches of the world tree Gungnir, wearing dark golden armor and a dark blue cloak, with one eye!

He was supposed to exist only in words and murals!

The Maybach rammed into it with a bang, Sleipnir hissing, four front hooves raised in the air. The rain all around converged to block Odin's front, impacting the front of the Maybach. Chu Zhang could not see the front at all, and it was as if a waterfall was coming in front of him. The Maybach's huge kinetic energy was completely dissipated in just a few meters, and the vehicle alarm and the airbags popped so that Chu Zhang's cervical vertebrae did not break instantly.

The water pushed the Maybach out. Sleipnir eight feet slowly kneeled to a stop, Odin inserted Gungnir into the wet asphalt, with the god's horse as the royal seat. Swarms of dark figures came out from behind Odin, like a group of priests about to perform mass, and they surrounded, identical black clothes, identical pale faces, and identical empty glittering golden pupils. Maybach was surrounded. It looked like the gods' tactics were similar to those of humans.

"Get out of the car." The man whispered.

Chu Zhang moved his legs and mechanically followed the man out of the car, standing side by side with the man in the snowy headlights, the man held a long knife in one hand and reached over to hold Chu Zhang with the other.

"Do not be afraid ...... although the first time I saw it I was also afraid ...... but fear is useless. Originally did not want you to see this, but since you saw it, do not miss the opportunity. Open your eyes wide!"

Chu Zhang held the man's hand tightly, he never felt that the man was so tall, mountain-like untouchable. It was raining above and below, and beyond the rain was boundless darkness. Beneath his feet was a wide elevated road, a transparent curtain of water in all directions as if all the rain in the world had gathered in this space, with streams of rain and streams of rain side by side next to each other, with no gaps.

"How dare you crash into the royal seat of God!" Odin's low voice came from the rain.

"I am a driver, driving too much inevitably slippery hands." The man said indifferently, "I know what you want, can leave it to you no problem."

He touched Chu Zhang's head, "Go get the trunk case out, it's black with a silver mark on it."

There was indeed a black suitcase in the trunk, the special leather surface was rough and tough, and on it was a silver nameplate engraved with a lush growing world tree.

Chu Zhang handed the suitcase to the man, who weighed it, still handed it to Chu Zhang, and looked at Odin, "I'm ready."

  "Then, human! Have an audience!"

"Many times before you have disobeyed me, but this time you must listen to me," the man whispered close to Chu Zhang's ear, "Remember, do not leave me, yet do not get too close either. But when I say 'run', you have to run towards the car, don't look back, don't look back!"

  "Mmm!" Chu Zhang trembled.
