"Writing a story in 100 words is a real skill," the creative writing teacher advised. "It's all about what you include."
Tony stopped listening. These classes really were dull. They weren't teaching him anything that he didn't know already. He'd show them. 100 words? Difficult? Not for him!

Tony joined the queue for coffee. He had class later and the results of the Drabble challenge.
A conversation took place ahead of him.
"There was one. Tony?"
His tutor. Laughing. Talking about Drabbles.
Tony smiled. Praise at last!
"Let's just say he knows how to put the "drab" in Drabble!"

Great one, Rachel!
I feel a little sorry for Tony, I think it’s the hopefulness about the Drabble challenge that he’s clearly not a contender in…think I might be a bit like tony in that…oh no this might be self pity…thanks for exposing it
Great job!
Apparently, I'm the only one who doesn't get it 😅😅
Ego doesn't make you talented. Good story, Rachel!
As someone who puts a lot of time and effort into drabbles, Tony’s hubris made me chuckle.
Love it! I've been wanting to try writing a Drabble for ages... unlike Tony, I know it will require effort and precision on my part, therefore it hasn't yet happened!
HA! The smug hubris of the cocky dunderhead, smashed. Deftly done!
Oh no, SNAP! 🙃
Oh no. Poor Tony! Ha
