Dottie
The Amazing Nurse
It all happened on Christmas of 1992 when Dottie saw a beautiful sparkling green package with a large pink bow. When she opened it, she saw a nurses kit with bandages, tape, a thermometer, and a stethoscope. She would pretend she was a nurse. All her dolls and stuffed animals would have bandages. Some on their head, arms, or legs. That’s when Dottie got her nurse superpowers.
When Dottie was 16 she took care of her dying grandmother. She made sure her granny was always clean and comfy. After high school, Dottie went to college to become a nurse.
Today Dottie works taking care of children with cancer. She can help relieve pain and nausea with a single shot. If her magic potion doesn’t work, she will try her other superpowers to make you more comfortable. If you are afraid, she will sit with you and hold your hand no matter how much she has to pee. She can go from smiling to crying in no time flat. She is smart and caring. She makes a silly face to make you smile.
Dottie’s superhero suit is a pair of scrubs. Sometimes her scrubs will have dog, cats, or horses. Other times her scrubs will have other superheroes other than herself. She can change into different scrubs in less than a minute if you happen to throw up on her and eat lunch right after.
Even the children love and adore her, Dottie isn’t perfect. She tinkles in her pants a little just as she is pulling down her pants right before sitting on the toilet seat. She falls asleep sometimes before she had a chance to brush her teeth. She is a true Superhero to children, their parents, and all the staff at the hospital.
