“Hon, we have to get some dinner. I’m starving!”
“Fine, Mom, after this episode. There’s only five minutes left.”
Grace has to turn off the television to stop her daughter from starting another episode of her favorite cartoon featuring those adolescent mutant reptiles. She lures the girl into the car with the promise that she can pick the restaurant.
“I want to try that new ramen place.” It’s an odd request from a nine year old, but Grace makes good on her promise and takes them to a chic new cafe that boasts authentic ramen soup.
Emily struggles to use her chopsticks. Grace tries to help, but the fiercely independent Emily insists on her own method. The two slurp up the noodles and sip the rich, delicious broth.
“So, what made you choose ramen?”
“It’s what the turtles eat! They are really good with chopsticks too, and they only have three fingers!”
“The turtles are cartoons, honey.”
“I know, but they are always eating real Japanese ramen and it makes me want to try it.”
“I thought they only ate pizza. Wait, are you always so influenced by cartoons?”
“Yeah, I started eating burritos because Batgirl likes them.”
“I admit, I do that too. When I’m watching TV and I see someone eating something that looks tasty, I crave it! There should be a word for that.”
“Crenvy?”
“Crenvy!”

TV can get a child to try something new. I thought Ninja Turtles only eat pizza,too. Love your word
Omgggg the crenvy I feel when someone on TV eats something is so real! But the thing is, the TV version of whatever the food is always looks better than the version I buy 🤣🤣🤣

There should be an insight for funny. I loved this. TMNT is the best. All my kids loved it. It's one of the things probably the only thing that was big in my childhood and theirs. Also, I love Ramen, I've never tried a Ramen restaurant is it worth it, or should I just stay at home with the store bought?
