Chuti's Ice Cream
Kindness remembered, not returned

The house at the end of the street had been for sale for maybe two or three weeks.
One morning, the newlyweds were checking what they had in the fridge, to see what they could bring with them to their picnic that day, when they saw that the ice cream they'd bought the day before was due to expire.
As they were busy blaming themselves for not checking the date of the ice cream, and wondering how in the world to cook so much of it, they thought of the little girl in the youngest house on the block.
"Let's give it to that child. Besides, it's not too late. We can't even have it for breakfast. It will go off when we return tomorrow. Then you shouldn't throw it out. They are stupid people. They don't even look at the date. Let's give it to that child."
And that was their endgame.
They call that girl with the sparkling eyes of every child, ''Chuti'' by falling in love with all the children and everyone alike.
Chuti was glad for the ice cream Chuti had had that morning.
Chooti is seven years old. She's never tasted such good ice cream. It was the happiest day in her life.
The whole street adores her. At the corner store, a great many people get goodness and are in the habit of bringing her a hat, a lozenge, a chocolate, a sugar ball, and a piece of cheese. She likes ice cream more than any of the food they brought her there at the shop, thinking of her. Little kids are like that, anyhow.
The corner house, the home for so long, was now "the house of the aunts who gave her ice cream.
A little over a few months since I had eaten some ice cream. They never gave Chooti anything at all. Yet Chooti never remembered the ice cream. When ever the aunts' car came which she gave ice-cream, Chooti used to stand in the yard and wave her. Chooti used to wave his hands on seeing known people.
Chuti's mother informed Chuti that the aunt who used to give her ice cream, had fallen ill." Chuti felt worried." She had to visit her aunt.
She had to bring something with her when she left. But Chuti's mother attempted to convey to Chuti that we didn't have the money to go there at that time, but Chuti just wanted to go.
''Bappa gave me money for a year. I will give you that money.
She gladly took all the money she had saved and hurried off to buy valuables with Chuti and her mom. While she generally bought vegetables that were somewhat underdone, this time she brought the best vegetables.
So, by Chuti's account, this time Chuti's mother is indeed cooking the most delicious soup in the world. When she cooked it, the whole house reeked of it. But Chuti didn't even beg for a sip of the soup. Chuti was given some in her hand, on which Chuti tasted. It was actually surprisingly delicious...!
"Is this going to be hot when we drink it? Chuti had wished to have these hot.
Mom grinned and brought a pan from the old cabinet gently. Chuti had never seen this pot in use ever.
If so and obs here, then it won't go out even if obf is true. I got this as a gift a really long time ago,'' Chuti was happier still when Mom said that.
In a pot with pretty flowers, Chuti and Mom carried the yummy soup, and went to the house of the aunts who had presented her with the ice cream.
Her aunt, who had given her the ice cream, laughed. She also said thank you very much to Chuti. Chuti leapt on top of her, and she ran home happier than she'd ever been in her life.
But once Chuti left, the face of the aunt who offered her the ice cream changed.
''We have no idea how they did it. That was when we were given ice cream. We're not sure they had it in for us quite that way. Dispose of that soup without becoming ill. Plus, that container is ancient. I don't want it."
The aunt with the ice cream told her to, so she threw away the soup.
