Sunlight peered through the windows and highlighted the trail of blood, leading to my weary form that was crouched on the floor.

Breathing heavily, I tried to settle my nerves because I knew it would pass quicker if I could calm down, but to no avail. The pain started, and every ounce of my strength vanished instantly. As time ticked by, my suffering increased with extreme intensity until an endless stream of tears adorned my scarlet cheeks.

With one last burst of excruciating pain, it was over with her first breath.
