Love, And The Magnificent Beast
She knew when she saw him, lurking in the shadows, that she should be afraid.
But, she couldn’t move beyond the longing in his eyes.
She approached the gray, stench filled alley, crouching, offering herself without reservation.
Her hair stood on end, as he began moving closer. His breathing was hard and fast, yet, she extended her hand as a gesture of surrender and gentleness.
Just as her fingers reached him, he fell onto his back, exposing his belly.
He had long awaited the feel of love from a human.
And she, could never resist the love of a dog.

IKR, sometimes it's a challenge knowing what is being said, when it comes to idioms. LMK if you need help keeping up, LOL BTW, AMA, if IDK, I'll google it. TIL that there are so many idioms I had never heard of. I trolled and became a lurker on some internet sites to get these, just for you. They are pretty rad, IMHO.

Thoughts on Vocal and the way the world is
"Death cannot stop true love, only delay it." – Wesley in The Princess Bride. I decided to come back to Vocal on a very cold and dark night at the end of December. I had been, and still am, convalescing from a horrible staph infection that had gone misdiagnosed for months. This, paired with the increasing challenges of being healthy, making the best choices for my co-parented child, being a wife, and being a director at a new job, was a lot to manage.

Awww, this was extremely adorable!
I didn't fall for it this time. (I loved the picture too much to forget it.) Rather I simply enjoyed the bathing in what has always been my approach to animals, especially dogs & cats, but even wild mice, bees & wasps. (Not so fond of mosquitos, though.)
