For the Fabulous James and Oneg's Summer Challenge

The headline reads as follows regarding Barbie's meltdown:

She does strategic outrage in order to further her career

Miss Roberts' stunning outrage lands her a multi-million dollar movie contract

"Hello Ann, this is Crissy. Have you seen the headlines on Barbie?"

"I haven't. What's she done now?"

"She and Betty were cruising around Willows when she got a call from Joe."

"Joe, hmmm!!! What happened to Ken?"

"He's still around. Word has it she's playing them both."

"Oh yes, that makes for headline news, "Barbie is two-timing.""

"The headline is what she did in the aftermath after Joe and Ken found out about each other."

"Oh really Crissy, what did she do?"

"After being asked to step down from her spokesperson position she had a public meltdown."

"Oh, this is getting juicy."

"In order to deflect from the two-timing scandal, she burst into Mrs. Handler's office and laid into her regarding the mix up of this year's wardrobe line."

"Oh really? Keep going," Ann begged Crissy.

"Yes Ann, she had photos and documentation from the other concerned subjects. Barbie videoed the entire scalding confrontation."

"I have to see this video."

"It's gone viral on YouTube."

"Here's the big news: After her meltdown in front of Mrs. Handler went viral, Barbie was offered a $300 million three-film contract with Warner Bros."

"Well Crissy, I think it's time we manufacture an outrage and get ourselves a movie contract."

"Who are you kidding Ann. Us washed up dolls would be lucky to get a cameo as a dead person in Chuckie's next movie."

I had fun writing something totally different from any other story I have written before. My chosen genre is Psychological Thrillers. I thought it would be nice to lighten up a bit and write a fun gossipy comedic drama using the names of popular dolls.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

This story is inspired by Tiffany Gordon due to her wonderful doll family and Lonzo Ward because of the series of Barbie poems/stories he has recently written.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The main story image was staged and designed by The Talented Miss Gordon ~ Tiffany Gordon with a few embellishments by Rick Henry Christopher. Tiffany also provided the Barbie photo featured in the story.

What a fun story - and that lead photo is gold, thinking about the “other guy”

  • Hmmm, the wit here seems to be a little Barbied here. Have you ever tried doing a Google search for Barbie? The results tend to be very interesting, lol.
