Alpha Diety
Humanity is at the brink of extinction after surviving years of war and destruction. Their scientific created species: Alpha’s are the only chance left to find hope for humanity. When two Alpha’s find this hope, it will come at a price

It started with a war.
The almighty Diety’s of the world had assembled together for a congregation. They all came to a conclusion that humanity had reached its peak in evolution and could go no further. With that they decided to assemble an extinction.
They sent their titans, their fighters, their bulldogs so to speak.
Billions of humans lost their lives to these creations of the gods over years. It was the first time that humanity had come to an agreement of peace around the world to battle the Gods.
Scientists, doctors, engineers, were all sought after to create weapons and powerful soldiers to try to overthrow the tyrants.
It was a russian scientist that eventually, using a splicing of DNA technique that created the first superhuman.
Soon enough humanity rose up to the challenge and eventually overthrew the titans.
The gods were intrigued by their progression and soon the next battle of extinction came to be, as the gods sent many of their own half breeds. Demi-gods descended down and again the humans were at a loss. The superhuman who once could hold their own against the Titans were no match for the Demi-gods.
Again the world sought out the most brilliant of minds to create a new breed of superhumans. This led to one scientist, after gathering a minute sample of demi-God DNA by a suicide attempt of soldiers, was able to create the first ever being she called, the Alpha. The mixture of animal DNA with human and Demi-god created god-like and animalistic traits.
The first Alpha name Kali, was modeled by the scientist's deceased daughter. Only standing at 155cm, she had long blood red hair and bright red eyes with black Sclera. Alabaster skin with large sharp claws either hand and two black wolf ears either side of her head.
She stood victorious against the Demi-God. The first battle lasted merely a minute before the Alpha had decapitated the Demi-god. Research for the genetic splicing of the now undefeated Alpha was sent around the world, and soon enough the humans had decimated all of the Demi-Gods.
Their victory was short-lived as the enraged Gods finally descended upon the earth to ravage the rest of humanity.
The Alpha’s were the last hope against the gods and the end of life war progressed for one hundred long years.
The final fall of the gods was known as the day of reckoning. For the extinction of all gods, caused the beginning of the extinction of humanity. Mother nature had fallen and in its place the land was no longer viable for vegetation. The god Aether’s demise led to the disintegration of the Ozone layer which led to the great submersion as the polar ice caps melted. The fall of Poseidon's led to the imbalance of the oceans, no longer was fresh drinkable water available.
Again humanity was falling apart, no longer having a visible threat to go against they decreed violence against each other. The lands became baron and the air unbreathable, Cities shrunk and had to be encased in large domes to provide oxygen. As oxygen and water became scarce, wars began. Many humans were exiled from society and began to resort to cannibalistic acts. The humans used their Alpha’s to patrol the outskirts as nothing more than guard dogs, they would be pinned against one another in fights for protection and even money. Many of the Alpha’s were sent out to help humanity as much as they could. Others were tasked to find a solution to the oxygen and water crisis.
Over Decades the Apha’s did what they could and yet the same conclusion had fallen before them. Humanities extinction was imminent.
25 years later.
Two Alpha’s stood atop what was once a vast river and waterfall, now a dusty rockbed.
They had been called out here due to a recent sighting of cannibals that were edging close to the city Salari.
“Kali?”
A deep male voice interrupted her scan of the surroundings.
She turns to her counterpart, he was the second created Alpha after herself. Troy was more the embodiment of an Alpha, he stood at 2 metre and weighed over 180kg of pure muscle. Sadly he was the true form of all brawn no brains.
She raises an eyebrow as the Alpha beside her points to her right. A smear of blood and a broken necklace with a heart shaped locket laying against a rock was a good lead.
Kali kneels close to sniff the dried blood and indeed conclude it to be human. Troy takes a swipe with his finger and licks the sample.
“That’s strange. It tastes different, almost young.” He states.
She takes a lick herself and notes how the construct was different to that of a feral cannibal.
A loud scream and a cry for help from a high pitched voice, rushes them into action.
Leaping and scaling the rock beds easily they come to find a young girl and boy struggling against a horde of feral humans.
Without hesitation the two Alpha’s jump down and mutilate the entire hord saving the two young kids.
Kali and Troy notice the fear in the younger's eyes and stay back. The boy, slightly older, brushes the young girl's tears away.
“The air is densest down here but they still do not have oxygen packs with them.” Troy notes
It was true that the oxygen levels were safe enough down this far for humans to breath enough although still, without any packs would pass out and suffocate on higher ridges.
They look around the dead cannibals and note they have their own oxygen packs, although old and worn, are still usable.
“Oi! Where are your packs?” Kali growls out. She hates speaking, especially to humans.
The children look towards the two Alpha’s frightened.
The young boy stands in front of his sister and yells at the two in an unknown language.
Both Alpha’s freeze in shock.
“What the fuck was that?” Troy asks her.
“Can you speak english?” Kali asks.
The boy yells something unintelligible, rushing towards the two alphas and snatching the necklace from Kali’s hand and rushing away around the corner with his sister.
“Hey!” Troy yells and begins to chase.
Kali grabs him by his shirt before he can move.
“Hush. We want them to lead us and not lose us.” Kali grabs a few of the oxygen packs and follows after the children, using her heightened sense of smell to guide them.
“Must have been a family heirloom or something to snatch the necklace back instead of just running in fear.” Troy muses.
Soon enough she notices the two are hiding out a few Kilometres ahead and lies in wait until they begin to move again. Troy crouches beside her hidden away.
After twenty minutes the young boy helps his sister up and begins to walk back towards the two Alpha’s and take a right along a tight rock wall. The Alpha’s follow silently above, keeping their distance from the children.
“What do you think about this?” Troy asks his partner quietly
“I don’t know, all that I can surmise is that they are experiments themselves. How else could they live outside.” Kali shrugs.
“So what are we doing?” Troy wonders.
“Follow them you idiot. What does it look like?” She states the obvious.
“No, I mean what are we doing if we find more?” Troy corrects.
Kali stays quiet for a while as she ponders.
“We are to find sources of Oxygen and reliable water. The two children breathe easily, so I suppose that makes them a source?” She shrugs hating the implications of the action.
“Kali, you know what the government would do with them though.” The Alpha looks at the two children, blissfully unaware of the predators hunting them.
“I am aware.” Kali herself looks uncertain.
Finally after a half hour hike they come across a dark cavern the children rush into blindly. Troy looks at the other apprehensively, Kali shrugs and continues on knowing they can easily see in the dark without a care.
After trudging down into the darkness for what seemed nearly an hour the air became heavier and moist as the smell of moss and salt permeates. They begin to see light and pick up the pace.
What they see next is something they have only ever seen in old books and photographs.
The cave is lit via an opening in the roof of the cavern many hundred feet up, grass litters around in a vast circle with cabins built by man. Trees are green and full of fruit. Water drips down through the rock substrate above and into a small lake below.
“Is this what they call a fairy tail?” Troy asks her quietly.
Humans walk around casually and at ease again without oxygen packs, they smile and laugh.
“What the-? Kali starts. The two look so bewildered.
“Hello there.” An old man startles the two Alpha’s.
“You speak english?” Kali asks.
The old man chuckles, “Yes my dear, I am one of the founders of this refuge. We had first sought it for shelter during the end of the war to escape the violence of the world. The air here is breathable.”
“How can you speak english but those kids can’t?” Troy points to the two children who had found their mother and are pointing towards the two Alpha’s. Since their arrival they have now caused quite a commotion. Many onlookers stay back in fear while other trapse close curiously.
“The children can speak english, they are just toying with you.” The old man grins.
Kali glares at the boy who again sticks his tongue out.
“What are two Alpha’s doing here anyway?” The man brings their attention back.
“Cannibals are close by, they had those two. Then we noticed they could breath without assistance. Would you like to explain that?” Troy asks.
“Ah, the children are a product of evolution. For myself and many others who are older, we still require oxygen but as we can see, evolution has continued.” He answers whimsically.
“And the water?” Troy points to the slow dripping cavern above the lake.
“Ah, the rocks around are precious stones that trap the salt and allow fresh clean water to fall.” The man smiles.
“This doesn’t seem possible.” Troy comments looking towards Kali who continues to watch the children with an air of despair.
“What is with the necklaces? Why do you all have them?” Kali guestures to the same style heart locket around the mans neck and notices the entire clan has them.
The old man touches it with a soft far away smile, “just sentimental.” He dismisses
“Are they the only two who can breathe without assistance?” She asks curious if the necklace actually means more.
“Actually there are five young children and three teenages who can. They are the future survivalists of the world. There are many others like us as well who live so far underground. I am sure if you did look hard enough you would find us. Please, come and stay for dinner.” The man smiles naively and gestures ahead.
“What do we do?” Troy whispers in her ear
“I don’t fucking know, I am still trying to wrap my head around all this.” Kali shoves him away, wiping the saliva off.
“The government is going to lose it’s shit over this.” Troy sighs.
The two stand and watch the peaceful interactions resume as the people go about their day.
This is what life has come to, peace has been found underground however they have a duty to their mission.
“So we know what we have to do?” Troy asks apprehensively.
“Yes. the world has to know for its own survival.” Kali breaths out.
“This will not end well.” Troy looks away.
“It never does.” Kali takes the step forward reluctantly
