Algorithmic Waves (Part 2)
Hatfield turns on the machine.
Code is everywhere. Hatfield looked. He looked at the machine. It looked like him, just without a face. A screen had replaced that. It stood inert and with no power coursing through its being.
He searched for some place for the power to be switched in the on position. The blank screen looked like it had been a slate to be written on or tapped.
He slid his hand up the back of the neck. His finger covered a small touch system and the machine animated. Small lights illuminated with great zeal and efficiency.
The amount of light just stunned.
