Once upon a time was a long, long time ago. At the end comes the ‘happily ever after’ (or so we're told), but when does ever after end, so that now can begin?

Time and distance twist and mellow stories, facts blur together until your story is no longer your own. And so I ask myself, what is MY story? All I have is this:

Once upon a time I had my once upon a fairytale. I can’t say it ended happily, or lasted ever after; but I have memories, and I have now, and happily, that’s enough for me.
