The Perfect Cure To a Fall Sweet Tooth.
“Are you sure this is vegan?” Yup, it’s vegan.

Once fall season arrives, baking is one of the things that I can always do with my sister. It started in Fall 2019. In our old apartment, we would always find ourselves baking new recipes and cooking new dishes. It was something we did very often. We’d always bring our Bluetooth speaker into our little kitchen and think of new foods or desserts to make.
It became the highlight of our fall.
As a matter of fact, I can honestly say that most of our great recipes that we love to make now, ones that become our favorite, are all results from that one fall. One of those favorites is my mouth watering sugar cookies.
Have you ever had a taste for something sweet but you just didn’t have it in your kitchen? Yeah, I think we all have. Well, that is what led me to make my delicious sugar cookies. It was a fall evening In November, and I remember my sister and I expressing how much we were both craving sugar cookies. Now, I know what you might be thinking, anyone else would’ve just gone to the store and bought them. Problem solved… right? Well, not really. Since we are vegans, it wasn't that easy. In fact, it started becoming frustrating to us that there weren’t any restaurants or bakeries near us that sold vegan treats.
So like we always did that fall, we took matters into our own hands.
This recipe ended up being my personal recipe because we decided that one of us would make dinner that night, while the other made dessert. Obviously, I had dessert.
What makes my cookies so wonderful, you ask? I’ll tell you.
Quick & Simple Recipe

One thing that I love about these sugar cookies of mine, is that It has an easy and fast recipe. Whenever you’re in need of a good treat, this is the perfect recipe to follow. Not to toot my own horn, but this is another thing that makes my favorite fall treat so likeable; the fact that they are so simple to bake. The sweetness
Sometimes, as a vegan, there are times when you’re tasting a sweet snack that you purchased for the first time, and it lacks sweetness. With this recipe, you won’t have to worry about that at all. This treat has the perfect amount of sweetness. It isn’t too sweet and it isn’t too bitter. What really does the trick is the applesauce that I used as a substitute for egg. Although it is unsweetened applesauce, apples already have their own natural sweetness, making it blend perfectly into this soft sugar cookie. It doesn’t at all taste like a “vegan substitute”. In fact, my father and little brother love my sugar cookies so much that they always ask me to bake them. That means a lot coming from them, considering the fact that they never want to try anything that’s vegan. (rookies.)
Use them to brighten someone’s day

Just like in the movies, If someone in my family is having a hard time and I can tell that they’re down, I bake these delectable cookies just to brighten their day. If you’re having a stressful week or even just a bad day, what better way is there to cheer you up than a soft, sugary cookie that dissolves so lovely into your tastebuds? Exactly, there isn’t one.
They’re for everyone
To vegans and non-vegans, it doesn’t really matter. If you’re a cookie lover, you will love this particular recipe.
Whenever you find yourself in need of a quick recipe to fix your sweet tooth, these sugar cookies are the perfect way to do so. Not only will you be glad to taste such a flavorful cookie, but you will also be glad that ironically, it is a healthier recipe as well.
So try it. (:
