My Top 3: Sandwiches
So if you’ve read my article on my top three breakfasts then stay tuned. In this article I will be coving my top three sandwiches. As always a little disclaimer I am not saying you have to eat these as I am aware that some may have allergies. I am just simple saying my opinion. With out further ado lets get on with the sandwiches.
Chicken Burger sandwich.
So this one is not at all fancy. It’s something I can ,come home on my lunch break at work and throw together. I buy no name breaded frozen chicken burgers from my local grocery store. Since I live on my own I buy the small box which is eight chicken burgers, so one box last me a bit. Then when I want one I simply open up the freezer , pop one in the microwave and it’s ready to enjoy. Usually I’ll cook it for one minute just to make sure it’s fully cooked, but beware as it’ll be hot to touch. The only other ingredients you will need is 2 pieces of bread , a cheese slice and mustard. Wether you wish to use a couple pieces of regular bread or a hamburger bun , it will still work.
For the assembly there is not much to do. Taking your bread or bun lightly spread your mustard. Next add the chicken burger followed by a cheese slice, add the top of the bun or bread then you are done. This is what I like to call a quick and easy throw together meal.
2. B.L.T Sandwich
If you’ve read my last post then you’ll realize this sandwich is very familiar. In my last article I talked about a B.E.L.T sandwich that I will sometimes make for breakfast. The only difference is this sandwich is minus the egg and uses bread instead of a bagel.
So much like before I will cook up 2-3 pieces of bacon and then thats all you need to do for the cooking part. Now if you prefer you can toast the bread but for this im leaving it as is. To start layering add mayo and mustard to bread. Then add a layer of lettuce followed by your bacon, then thinly sliced tomato. Place your second piece of bread on top then voila you have made a b.l.t.
3. Tuna Pickle sandwich
I’ll admit even the title of this sandwich sounds weird. It involves a can of light flaked tuna , mayo and some bread and butter pickles.
To prep, in a bowl mix can of tuna and mayo. Now the amount of mayo is completely up to you. I tend to use just enough to make a smooth mixture. This is because instead of using butter I use a light layer of mayo on my bread so I don’t need to go overboard.
Lastly comes the layering. First lightly spread a layer of mayo or butter on a piece of bread. Next place an even amount of the tuna mayo mix making sure to cover the surface. A thick or thin layer is your choice to make since you’ll be the one eating the sandwich. Now of course I realize not everyone likes or can eat pickles. If you prefer your sandwich without pickles them simply skip that step. You’ll be left with a simple tuna mayo sandwich , which sometimes is all you need
I hope you enjoyed this short read and if you like it then leave a little love. Buy me a coffee or tea perhaps by using the tip bar or heart this story and share it with your friends. Until next time have a marvellous day.
