Do you love pesto? Do you like homemade pesto? Do you ever wonder how hard is it to make it? Do you buy store-bought pesto in a jar because you're too lazy to make it thinking its too hard or that you don't have enough time to make it before lunch or dinner? Well, ITS NOT HARD!!!

This dish is actually one of my favorites because, I go to noodles and company to eat this dish sometimes when I don't have enough time to make it or that I didn't go shopping to make it.

Very simple ingredients to make this dish.

You'll need a blender for this

I take about 1-2 cups of basil and coarsely chop it getting rid of the stems. add 1/4 cup of pine nuts to add texture to the sauce add about 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream but don't add it to the blender add about 4 tablespoons (1/4) cup of olive oil 2 cloves of garlic because why not a couple of pinches of salt and pepper about 1/8 of a cup of pepcorino cheese and parmesan cheese

After you blend everything but the heavy cream you'll want to cook your pasta. I prefer a cappatiavi pasta and add about 2 roma tomatos that are chopped. I cook the pasta for about 10 minutes, I use the whole box of pasta, depending how many people you're serving; preferably I use the whole box so that incase you have left overs, you can the pasta for either lunch or dinner. After you cook the pasta save about 1/4 cup or 1/2 of pasta water. Yes pasta water! Why pasta water you ask? This will actually enhance the flavor of the sauce that you just made.

Once my pasta is cooked I add the pesto first, then the heavy cream, then the pasta water and mixed that together; then I add the pasta and tomatos.

I serve this in a bowl instead of a plate

I will have this with a slice of garlic bread that has garlic butter on top with paprika and parsley thats been toasted at 385 for 5 minutes. You can also do garlic cheese bread too if you want to. And you're done :)

I made this dish for my family and they loved it. I also made this dish for my boyfriend and I. My boyfriend and I barely have an actual dinner together at home, because he works at a lot at work; so whenever he is off work we would get take out or drive through somewhere. We usually don't eat til about 8-11pm since it varies when he gets off work. I don't eat dinner without him when I see him just because I'll feel bad eating dinner without him you know?

I went shopping with my best friend that I haven't seen in a while and got the ingredients that I needed to make this dish for him and I. My friend said oh you should get some wine so you can have it for your dinner with him. I was like oh my god yes. I got a gemma di Luna wine at the store and she asked me what is that? I said oh I had this wine before its a moscato very sweet, when I had this the first time I was like I need to have this again.

When I got home I took the time to make this dish, after I made dinner I called my boyfriend saying hey um I made something for us, he said ok well I'll come pick you up and we'll have to go back to work because I got a few things that need to be done. I said ok.

I asked my boyfriend if he liked the dish, he never had this dish before so it was new to him. He loved it and I was so happy that he liked it. This was my second time making dinner for him! Second!?!! SECOND!??! Gracie what!? Yeah I know, its crazy, the first time I made dinner for him was a Korean pork bowl.

Oh please take your time to make this dish, I took my time to make this with the chopping.
