Fruits are delicious and have tons of great nutritional benefits, but many people don’t get enough of them. A diet with more fruits can not only make you healthier, but it can also make you feel more energetic and stronger, too! So why not try one of these seven delicious recipes that use fruits as the star ingredient?

Tropical Fruit Bowl

This delicious bowl is a great way to get your fill of fruits without having to spend too much time in front of a stove. With ingredients that you most likely already have on hand, it will take you only about 10 minutes to make and devour. Try using different fruit combinations for an even tastier meal. You can also substitute some or all ingredients according to your preference.

Strawberry, Apple & Blackberry Salad

In a bowl, mix 1 cup strawberries, 1 sliced apple and 4 blackberries. Top off with a squeeze of lemon juice and some freshly ground black pepper. A healthy and delicious meal in less than five minutes! (Yields 2 servings) Pineapple & Apple Smoothie: Blend together 1⁄2 cored pineapple chunks, 1⁄2 cored apple chunks and 3⁄4 c orange juice until smooth. Add ice cubes to chill if desired. An ideal drink for hot summer days! (Yields 2 servings)

Mango & Apple Salad: Combine 3 chopped mangoes, 1 chopped green bell pepper and 1⁄4 c fresh parsley leaves in a large bowl. Toss with vinaigrette dressing to taste before serving. For extra flavor, add curry powder or your favorite herbs to vinaigrette dressing. A colorful dish that’s easy on your digestive system too! (Yields 3-4 servings)

Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie

If you’re always on-the-go, a smoothie is a perfect way to get in some fruits. This blueberry breakfast smoothie, for example, is low in fat and provides your body with over 100% of its daily Vitamin C requirements. What’s more? It tastes amazing. Simply blend up a handful of blueberries with your favorite fruit juice (pineapple juice works best). Optional: sweeten it up by adding two tablespoons of honey.

Watermelon Mint Summer Salad

Only when you eat fruits in moderation (and include your favorites like strawberries, melons, apples, bananas, and watermelon) can you get rid of your excess belly fat. The best part is that they’re easy to make, too! Try Watermelon Mint Summer Salad: It's refreshingly cool and has just three ingredients—watermelon, mint leaves, and lime juice. Cherry Tomato Quinoa Salad

Get rid of pimples. Reduce stress. Stop worrying about food and get on with your day. This recipe calls for just a few simple ingredients, including cherry tomatoes, onions, garlic, quinoa and fresh herbs (more specifically parsley, mint and cilantro). The meal is flavorful yet light and can be served warm or cold depending on your preference. Bonus points: it’s vegan!

Zucchini Pasta Primavera

This is a simple, delicious meal that is both low-carb and gluten-free. If you don’t want to spend too much time preparing dinner but still want to eat a healthy meal, then give it a try. The combination of chicken and vegetables in each bite will help you feel fuller while eating fewer calories overall. It’s one of my favorite recipes to use on busy days. These oatmeal pancakes are thick, hearty and a favorite among many. Serve with fresh fruit and whipped cream to make a satisfying meal. If you’re out of peaches, try substituting fresh apricots or nectarines. You can also mix up your favorite fruits in here—strawberries, pears and apples would all be delicious!
