Creamy Chicken & Asparagus Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

-chicken breasts (as many as you want)

-olive oil, divided (two tablespoons)

-butter, unsalted (one tablespoon )

-onion, chopped small (optional but recommended)

-garlic cloves, minced (two teaspoons)

-all-purpose flour, optional for thickening sauce later on instead of using cornstarch which is also an option if preferred by cook( one teaspoon) -chicken broth, low sodium

Instructions -

Add half of butter and olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onions until tender (about three minutes) then add garlic cloves.

Cook for one minute while stirring constantly before adding chicken breasts. Stir frequently, cooking the chicken thoroughly on both sides but making sure not to overcook it because you'll be putting it back in the pan later with other ingredients after draining pasta from boiling water.

Remove from heat once fully cooked and place onto a plate or cutting board lined with paper towels to drain excess grease. Cut into bite-sized pieces then set aside.

In that same pan at low heat, melt remaining butter along with flour if used for thickening sauce which is also an option instead of cornstarch if preferred by the cook.

Stir constantly for about one minute until bubbly then slowly whisk in chicken broth until sauce has thickened.

Add chicken and asparagus back into the pan, along with pasta of choice once it's been drained from boiling water. Toss everything together until evenly coated with sauce then serve.
