Vancouver is not only known for its outdoor activities, wonderful, temperate weather and spectacular views, but also for its delicious food adventures. If visiting the area of looking for Vancouver homes for sale, there is no denying that you have to find the best places to try the unique and fresh cuisine the city has to offer.

Trying to eat at every, single restaurant that is on a list of the best places to dine is a feat that only a food show host may have the chance to complete, so making sure you pick the best ones while you are on your food journey is a must.

Pajo’s Fish and Chips

This hotspot is obviously known for its fish and chips dish. It has been open since 1985 and is known for its ability to fry up their locally caught cod, salmon and halibut to a golden-brown perfection to pair with thick-cut “chips” or fries as Americans will call them. The dish is served in a newspaper cone that makes the classic dish not only nostalgic but also fun and easy to eat. The restaurant has many locations to choose from with being right on the Wharf in Steveston so you can watch the boats come in with their daily catches all while you enjoy some fresh fish.

Tacofino

Let’s face it, tacos are everybody’s favorite easy-to-eat meal. Tacofino offers a near perfect fish taco for every local or visiting tourist in Vancouver. They batter and fry up a hefty piece of pacific cod and wrap it in a flour tortilla paired with slaw, chipotle mayo and salsa fresca. The restaurant began in the back of a surf shop parking lot as most taco places do and has grown to several locations and food trucks around Vancouver.

Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar

A lot of Vancouver’s “best restaurants” are going to be seafood related considering it sits on the Pacific Ocean, and the Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar is no exception. This hotspot is known for its Seafood Tower where guests can indulge on strip shrimp, albacore tuna tataki, red island mussel escabeche, Dungeness crab Louis, snow crab legs and local oysters. I’m half the population ordering this delicacy has no idea what half those words mean but it doesn’t stop their taste buds from dancing with delight.

Purebread

Once you have eaten all the seafood you can stomach, you may want to indulge yourself in some dessert at Purebread, a pastry and dessert heaven. Everything they sell is bigger than your face from their meringues to their coconut cake. Their dessert table has been dubbed the Crack Bar for its tower of irresistible sweets especially its “crack” made of butter, heavy cream, brown sugar and some corn flour. Simple ingredients for an addicting treat.

These are just a few of the city’s amazing restaurants, but in all honesty, you can go down any street and take any turn and you will hit a place to eat that will make the foodie in you want to blog.
