Entry # 1 - a Look back

Everything seems so easy at fist, When your a kid you look at our parents and think: "Yeah I could do that someday..." You start growing up graduate elementary school go thought the Hell that is middle school only to question things about your self about your parents. Then go on to the even bigger Hell-scape that is High school where you question yourself even more learn you don't really need in life fight with your parents you're learning materials you wont need while you try to explain to them what you want to do, What you have a passion for only to be shut down called a child still and wont be taught what you need to be a functional adult and on top of that your mental health is going down more and more because your entire life you are making up for mistakes made by them in their past too and you are stuck in the middle of because you are the product of it. Now your 18 you graduated high school small of have an idea of who you are and what you want to do with your life so now its time for Life to truly begin. You are 18 no car(parents messed that up for you0 no job (yet), you are scared but trying to fake it like you know what you're doing. Going to job interviews that are completely different then the mock ones done while in high school. Trying your best to talk sell your skills and abilities and any thing positive about your self when middle school and high school already broke and stole all of that from you so now figure something out or else you're about to be out with no money nor a home any more. When did 'your best' stop being enough you know, like we are told to 'do your best' and that's ok if you cant figure something out right off that bat. Why cant we be enough...

entry #2 Expectations

Something That bothers me is how as children's we are given expectations of what we are to become and how we are to become it... if that makes sense. Boys are meant to be the ones to protect and take care of family's while girls have to provide for the men. To some now days that's an old way of thinking its been that way for generations its about time we make a new goal to live towards since now we have paved the way for others to grow past the hurdles dealt to us in the past. Now we are expected to live as our parents did with them constantly comparing our newer experience to that of theirs. They have already become outdated and comparing our life to theirs robs us of an understanding. Saying well back in my day I could pay for my car just by working my fast food job; congrats back then the minimum wage was $3.10 which if you adjust for inflation was about $9.02. and you still lived with your parents with out them asking for you to pay rent first year out of high school. I'm grateful for what I have, all I ask is that I have someone to vent to with out the essay about how it was so much harder back in the day. I don't doubt that one bit but its not back then. its progressed far from then, wasn't it big that all this new tech that was made was suppose to make it easier for the young of today so they don't have to struggle like you all have in the past? Why do you compare yourselves to us?
