Hello ladies.
Its been almost two years since I was pregnant, and as much as I love my little boy I can tell you I did NOT enjoy pregnancy. When I was pregnant I kept asking how pregnancy was and especially birth time how painful would be, and I kept getting the same answer all the time..."Its great"... "a bit painful, but totally worth it".
I don`t understand why pregnant and non-pregnant women have to lie to each other.
I want to write about what each chapter of my pregnant life was and what solutions I was able to find in order to appease my aches.
Month 1
I want to point out that I knew about my pregnancy at 8 weeks pregnant, therefore my first month really was my 2nd month.
When I found out I was pregnant I was excited and happy, since we had been looking forward to having a baby for a long time my husband and I. The symptoms didn't start up until after 3 more weeks from the time I knew I was having a baby. Started as light morning sickness, which consisted in slight dizziness, headache and lack of appetite. It wasn't till a week after, that the actual morning sickness came to take effect. I was experiencing extremely bad nausea, dizziness and really bad lack of appetite, mixed with a sense of repulsiveness and feeling like I was about to vomit.
It really was horrible...I couldn't eat anything because as soon as I saw food I felt like puking, BUT IF I DIDNT EAT, I WOULD THROW UP TOO...so what was the answer?
After two more weeks into this awful time, I decided to take my moms approach and force myself into eating. My gyno had prescribed me with morning sickness pills, and even though I took one and felt alive again, I didn't wanted to just take chemicals all the time, so I decided to woman up and try different things. I remember my mom always told me that when she was pregnant she used to eat in order to NOT vomit. So I said "what the hell?.
RESULTS: I was feeling again like I wasn't a pregnant zombie anymore. Every time I started to feel nauseous I would have a snack available to eat. Most times I would feel grossed out but I just had to force it in.
I found out that eating even BEFORE feeling anything, any bit of discomfort would help. It made me feel so much better.
Another alternative I read was eating bananas, but, this resulted in something much worse than morning sickness, but this is a story for Month 2.
Thank You for reading my article
I will be posting weekly. Hope this has help new mommas and soon to be mommas out there, to appease their first-third month of pregnancy. Feel free to ask me questions and Ill try to answer them as soon as I can.
