The boundless love a parent has for their child is matched only by their capacity to embarrass them.
My Mother Died
I am living the most difficult moment of my life at this moment. “My mother has died.” On the 11th of another, I received a message from my sister-in-law saying, “Casimiro, please call because mom had a relapse in the hospital.” That message was worrisome to me, I called and learned that my mother had been taken to the emergency room, but as bad as she was in the hospital she had no medical attention and was given no medication to bring down her high fever; the hospital simply released her home. Knowing what happened, my pregnant wife, in her last week of pregnancy, volunteered to take care of my mother because I work offshore. My nephew when he heard about the situation decided to go and take care of his mother instead of my wife so that he would not have to leave the city we live into the city where my mother was living in her mother’s condition.

When Should You Cut Your Narcissistic Mother Out Of Your Life?
It is not the least bit uncommon for many people to hear how bad a father may have been to a child and a husband to his wife. Society is rife with this narrative that men are toxic and evil beings, whereas women, wives, MOTHERS are seen as the paragon of what it is to be a virtuous human being.

Time For Tea
Teatime. So There Can Be Some Me Time. Mom time. Teatime, and a plan for me time: There are four children at home yet. And four children that are grown and gone. What are we doing with a seven- and eight-year-old I ask myself? It is seven thirty in the evening, and it is time to make tea, serve tea and get to bed by eight thirty on school nights. Chamomile and lavender tea. Otherwise known as sleepy time you see. Dream time tea.

The Talking Tree
In a small town in northern Michigan there is a talking tree. Don’t ask the locals; they’ve never heard of it. Don’t set off on a search for a thing of majesty and splendor. It is a simple red maple set in the midst of a forest on an overgrown path that leads to nowhere. Though it has been in my family for four generations, I knew nothing of its existence or significance until several weeks ago. And in my heart I know its re-discovery was not mere serendipity but an act of a silent prayer.

A TV Host Gives A Loving Touch To My Mom
At one point, we used to subscribe to a show on cable, called, "Later...With Jools Holland." He’s the British chap who hosts a BBC show featuring a list of stellar musicians from the past and the present. This wonderful host has been doing it since 1992 and he could be considered the current Ed Sullivan, the TV legend who showcased the likes of Elvis and The Beatles.

My Potential Problems with Parenthood. Top Story - October 2021.
I think I’d be a good father. I’m worried I wouldn’t be. I don’t have any children yet, and I may never end up having any. Part of me wonders if that’s a good thing. And while I have a long and painful history of talking myself out of things I want because I fixate on the worst-case-scenario aspects of everything, my concerns about one day becoming a father are founded in rational thinking.
