The mole and me
A mole and me Critters or creatures as we call then in the UK form the bedrock of every childhood experience. Not every child catches a dragonfly and puts it in a jar to wonder. Some of us have a trusty hound and a sheepskin glove to make immortal a memory of those innocent Sunday afternoons of young childhood.

Edwards and His Wife
Jessica and carter think they helped Edward get to where he’s at today but see that’s where they are wrong. You see when Jessica needed the help the most Edward helped her with her bills and her vehicle that broke down constantly. Yes, she gave him a roof over his head but he did most of the helping. He worked two jobs alongside with his wife. Jessica had two children and Edwards had asked his wife to give up two jobs to babysit the children for Jessica so she can work. Once when Carter came back that’s when things changed. Jessica started being distant and not be herself anymore. She even started telling Edward he has to pay the whole water bill and that his wife has to pay the whole light bill. But see Edward and his wife paid most of the rent that month. Jessica cut her hours down to not work so much. While Edward and his wife had to give almost all their checks to Jessica’s bills. Edward's wife had a vehicle she wanted but she had to give it back due to having to help Jessica catch up on her rent. It’s sad what you do for people when it comes to sacrifices to help them.

My Grandmother
My Grandmother When I was a child, I always assumed that my world would never change. The center of that childish world was my grandmother. She was the lynch-pin that held the chaos of my universe together. My grandmother, I thought, was the greatest grandmother in the world.

When Life Gives You Lemons, Add Sugar
The Inception It was the summer of 2019. I was working as a summer school one-on-one instructional aide for the most unique kid, Dean. He had a deep love and uncanny knowledge of trains. He could memorize and recite entire movie scenes. That summer, he was obsessed with the famous “fish are friends, not food” scene from Finding Nemo. And nature seemed to respond to him differently, like they knew he wasn’t a threat. Dean was on the mild side of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but still used “fidgets” to help self-soothe when he felt over-stimulated. He loved fidgets that were spongy, spiky, soft, and sandy. Being his one-on-one aid helped me to understand the shared frustration of student and caretaker alike to constantly measure and meet the need to self-soothe in moments that were over or underwhelming.

Pie in the Sky is Not That High
You hear about the good old days, the days when you could buy a candy bar for a few cents, or buy a week's worth of groceries for $10- the time where a grandfather could put a dime in your hand and it was worth a pack of gum or two. A time when a shop owner knew your name and your family. It was when people took time out of their day to talk to you. Those days are gone. I have walked through stores over my few years of life and watched as the prices grew, the stores got larger and the personal touches that came with them faded away into oblivion. I have seen my mother's eyes widen every year as the week's groceries cost more and more. I have watched as the small hometown stores got replaced by larger companies, and the ones that didn’t had to evolve, advance themselves, and lose their natural charm in order to survive. I know that it doesn’t have to be this way, so why is it?
