A Fathers Day Confession
Today is supposed to be a day that celebrates good dads. Fathers who provide for their children, who are a great role model for their children. Fathers who protect their children and raise them to know right from wrong. Fathers who attend after school activities like sports and dance, fathers who are there whenever their children need them... Those are the kinds of fathers who are to be celebrated today.

My NOT Family
I heard the garage door open, dread filled the pit of my stomach. Why they left me behind, I will never understand. I have never fit in, anywhere. My school, church, pom poms, baton, softball, you name it. I’ve always been…an outcast, the weird one. But being rejected and alienated by your own family is the worst feeling in the world.

Look to the Trees!
In parenting we must have principles in place that guide our journey. What is a principle? Simply put—it’s a valuable guide. It's an important marker that can guide us through this parenting forest. I know I need a guide...so sign me up. I see it like this, we are all on this parenting journey and sometimes we get lost...the trail starts to vanish in the thick of life— then all of a sudden we come to that tree marked with a ribbon or something (that’s our principle) guiding us through the forest so we don’t wander too far off track. Parenting principles are key because we WILL seemingly “get lost” or “be in unmarked” territory— but someone has been there ahead of us and they have left us “principles” that can see us through. Will they make our journey perfect? “NO”, but they are guaranteed to help us! So let’s take a look at some of these markers and see how they can help us parents through the thick of it.

Buff Bluff
We were living in unit one on the basement level of our building in a suburban apartment complex. Once a year management would have the floors buffed and shined; not the stained, tile floors inside the apartments, but the ones in the foyer that could be seen by those wishing to land an apartment and move in. Whenever this time of the year rolled around (usually summertime), each tenant would receive notification in order that they may not utilize the hallways between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. This would give maintenance time to strip, buff, wax and dry the floors without having to redo anything because of unwanted footprints.

Mother and son
She never knew being a mom could feel and be so amazing, she never knew the true meaning of love at first sight until she felt his tiny little body lying on her, and she saw his little face looking up at her giving her the dirties look ever. She never knew the true meaning of love at first sight until she became a mom. she never knew what it meant to be hurting because your kid did or said something hurtful to you until she became a mom, and her son was doing it to her.

My child is often sick, how to improve immunity?
"My children often get sick after going to kindergarten, sneezing, catching colds, and fevers. They have almost never stopped their illnesses. They are in good health at home, but they have to go home to rest within a few days after being sent to kindergarten. Will it reduce his immunity and make him more likely to get sick?"

Check out more stories shared by talented creators at Vocal. Americans spend more than 90 percent of their time indoors, and poor interior air quality increases the risk of respiratory illnesses. Bonding With The Universe
As parents, we often worry about what our children are getting excited about. We hope we can guide them to "bond" with healthy things like a love of learning, family, and healthy social activities. But we also worry they will bond with the wrong people like internet stalkers or the wrong crowd at school. Wouldn't it be great if we could harness that tremendous energy and desire to latch onto something and bond with it and help our children "bond" with the universe through a love of astronomy?
