Quality Time
I wish people truly understood the meaning of family. However everyone has their own different twist to the meaning of the word family some believe it is those you share blood with. Others perceive it as the people you grew up around. It could also even just a child that has come into your life unexpectedly. I however believe that family should be those that stick around and are there when it matters and the ones that care about you just as much as you do for them. I see it as people who don't think they are better than you but that see you as their equal. People who you can trust with your secrets and problems, but know that they will be honest with you when something is wrong or messed up that either someone did to you or that you did. I see family as those that would fight for you to be safe. Just like I also believe that you should always be there for families. Way too often nowadays people don't ever want to just spend time with each other they are incapable of it. For example my little sister she never watches movies with me or our mom unless it is a movie she picks then the second it is over she is back on the laptop in her room. I love days that me and my mom just sit in the living room and relax and just enjoy the peace and quiet on my days off of work. I started making more time for her because I noticed that I never had time. I don't want to make the mistake of not spending enough time with her and god forbid she goes. I would rather do everything on this earth that I can to make her happy. That woman gave everything on this earth to save me so giving her my time and attention is the least that I can do because she deserves the world but that is what I am saying you should spend time with your family. Turn off your phones and any other electronics. Sit at the table play a board game, bake a cake. Or even sit down and watch a movie all together, do karaoke, or just dance. It truly does not matter get to those that you love and call family more than just once a month or on holidays. Give them a few days a week if you can and the time that you do get with them make sure that you cherish it and enjoy those moments because they will never come back around again. Maybe moments like it but those moments will never be back to come around. I sometimes wish that you could go back and revisit those moments but you can't. You would also just be living in the past. I know there are times when I am so happy and completely in the moment that I forget all about electronics and I just live in that moment and times when we just exist together and are just there being with each other. I love just sitting with my mom in the house no phones or tv and just relaxing and talking. I cherish those moments because my job restricts me from having a lot of those moments. Not just with my mom but for myself and my boyfriend as well. I went on a trail sometime in august for the first time in years with my boyfriend and it was something that was just a spur in the moment. A last minute thought up trip because we couldn't do the plans we previously had, but it was so much better than what we had planned we were happier. I had felt more at peace there than anything or anywhere that I had ever been before just being there connecting with nature. It was like a high that no drug could ever give you. A pleasure that you wouldn't find anywhere else. I wish I could feel that peace everyday and give even a semblance of that to others. It feels amazing being with those that you love and cherish without electronics having to be anywhere near you. The world is yours to explore enjoy it and share it with those you love and those around you.

The Mommy Diaries: Baby's Wardrobe - Dos &Don'ts
In June of this year, my life got turned upside with the birth of my son. It was simultaneously the most exciting and most terrifying thing to ever happen. Exciting because he was finally here and I was no longer pregnant. Terrifying because I realized everything that I had heard, learned and read about babies was finally being put into practice and I didn't want to mess up.
