Today is International Women's Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the strength, achievements, and dignity of women across the world. But if there is one person who truly deserves all the appreciation and honour today, it is none other than a mother. She is the true embodiment of womanhood, the purest form of love, and the greatest symbol of sacrifice.

The word mother cannot be confined to any single definition, nor can it be fully expressed in any language. A mother is not just a relationship; she is an emotion. From the moment we take our first breath until our last, she lives for us, sacrifices for us, cries for us, smiles for us, and finds her happiness in ours.

A mother is like the first ray of sunlight at dawn, bringing warmth and brightness into her child’s life. She is like a comforting shade that protects her child from the scorching heat of hardships. The Silent Sacrifices of a Mother

As children, when we take our first steps, she is there to hold our hand. When we fall, she rushes to pick us up, holds us in her arms, and wipes our tears. But as we grow older, do we ever notice the tears in her eyes? Do we ever take the time to read the wrinkles on her face?

She wears the same old clothes year after year just so that we can have the best. She often skips meals to ensure that we have enough to eat. She buries her dreams deep within her heart so that we can fulfil ours.

A Living Goddess in Disguise

People search for God in temples, churches, and mosques. But the truth is, God lives in our homes, in the form of our mother. She is the one who selflessly devotes her entire life to us without expecting anything in return.

No matter how much trouble we bring her, she never stops loving us. Even when the world criticizes us, she stands by our side, shielding us from all harm.

When society points fingers at us, when friends leave us, and when life turns against us, it is a mother who wipes our tears with her own hands.

She stays up at night when we are sick. She prays for us when we are in trouble. She sacrifices her happiness so that we can live a better life.

Yet, do we ever take a moment to ask her, "Mother, how are you?"

If you look into her eyes, you will see the pain she never speaks about. The pain of years of sacrifice, the weight of countless sleepless nights, and the burden of unfulfilled dreams.

Today, the world celebrates International Women's Day, and speeches will be made about women’s empowerment and gender equality. But in reality, this day belongs to our mothers.

Give her flowers, express your love for her, hug her tightly, and make her feel special. She has given you the world—now it’s your turn to give her at least a few moments of happiness.
