A Mom With a Full-Time Job
If you are a parent, congratulations! You are probably one of two things: hardworking or hardworking...same word, but two completely different meanings! Hi, I’m Anna (one of my nicknames), I’m 22 years old, I live in South LA, and I have two beautiful children, an amazing, hardworking fiancé, and I am a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM)! Being a SAHM can be either a blessing or it can be an absolute nightmare. Usually, for me, it’s both of these things all day every day.

Learning to Let Go
About a year after graduating high school I went off to college. Oh my gosh, I loved it! I had high hopes and big dreams to fulfill. I was following the plan. You know the one. School, career, marry the love of your life, get that perfect house with the white picket fence, have kids, and live happily ever after.

The Perks of Being a Stepmama
I can only imagine how difficult it must be to have another woman in your child’s life take on the mom role when you never asked for her in the first place. However, you have to understand that I never asked to fall in love with a man who already had a kid, and along with that, baby mama drama. It just sort of happened 🤷🏽♀️ and I’m not going to apologize for it.

A Special Life
I am a 27-year-old mother of two, married to a 21-year-old special needs man. This is a new discovery and the wound it cut into our home life is very fresh and still bleeding. My 21-year-old husband is autistic. More specifically, if Asperger’s were still its own diagnosis, he would be diagnosed as such. The last few months have been hell. There have been many tears, lots of fights, and some screaming that I’m not sure who it came from. I love my husband so much more than I ever dreamed possible, but our life is very hard.

The Grieving Process
My memorial weekend was rather uneventful in 2016. My parents went off to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Colorado over the holiday, and my son and I were looking over the farm for them while away. Sitting peacefully on the back steps listening to the birds chanting back and forth, I felt blissful. That feeling didn’t last long.

The Life of Brian
Welcome, everyone, to my first post, and an introduction to the overall topic of this blog. The topic of this blog and many of my posts will be my grandfather's disability before his recent passing. Many subjects will be covered in the discourse of this blog. Examples of this are; how did my grandfather become paralysed? What is quadriplegia/tetraplegia? What further health problems can this cause? What the UK health care service did to help, what is autonomic dysreflexia, what was his life like before he was paralysed, and other topics.

Pregnancy and childbirth are life changing events. It affects someone in many facets of life: socially, financially, and academically. This experience has motivated me to be successful and has given me ideas of future careers that I would like to pursue in the future.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!!!
Before ANYONE says anything on June 17, 2018, allow me to say something very important. Whether you fire up your computer, pick up the phone or even visit (I hope not. I do not like visitors.), PLEASE refrain from saying HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to me. I will not take it very kindly. I am not a Dad in any sense of the word. Sorry. That is something that will get me VERY angry.
