Before I move forward about this new song I want to give a brief regarding my relationship with my mom.
(The music video for my new song is at the end of this story)
My Mom
I have an unusual relationship with my mom. We have always been very close. When I was twelve years old I would put my nose up against my mom's nose and talk with her face to face. Whenever we'd go to a store I would escort her arm in arm into the store as if I were escorting Miss America across the red carpet.
I love my mom with all my heart and soul. Now that she is 87 years old, blind, and in the throes of dementia my love for her has only heightened. She is a wonderful giving person. She always thinks about the comfort of those around her. She will give up her meal just to make sure the other person is fed.
My mom became ill in 2020 with Dementia and Depression. She had already been blind since 2010. I have been her 24/7 caregiver since then. The road has not been easy. I am sleep deprieved, confused, saddened, physically and emotionally drained, and my mental health has taken a major hit. Despite all this I have committed myself to taking this to the end. My mom deserves the best and I will give her my best.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
A good amount of people take issue with AI. I get it. I understand the reasoning behind it. I especially understand with AI programs that write stories, poems, etc. Because when it comes to writing you either wrote the story or you didn't. Okay, some people use AI as a proofreader, as do I. Others use it to improve their stories. But many use AI to write complete stories, this something I cannot support.
AI for Music creation is an entirely different ballpark, well maybe not entirely. Because there are some people that use Music AI with a prompt such as: "Create a birthday song for my 40th Anniversary and then clicck create and the app creates an entire song; lyrics, music, and all.
For me AI is not a creator but it is a tool which helps me realize my creative endeavors. The way I use music AI is an art in itself. I have a strong background in music and technology so I know a few tricks. I sneak made up words into the lyrics which have the ability to create sound effects which sound like any variety of instruments such as percussion, a screaming saxophone, a synth keyboard, and so forth. I can also manipulate the prompts to a level that most do not realize you can do. I do much more than enter prompts such as "Rock" or "Classical." I am inputting more detailed info such as Beats Per Minute (BPM), scales, pitches, keys, and I also delve into unusual effects. My prompts are akin to sound engineering as opposed to inputting a few words in the prompts field.
The Song
My mom is a very special lady. She was born into extreme poverty. She was the only one of five sisters to work her way out of poverty into success. She shared a small bedroom with her four sisters and slept in a bed with two of her sisters (three in one bed). By the time she was 38 years old she was the co-owner of a beautiful home in an upper scale neighborhood in the suburbs of Orange County, California. She owned cars such as Corvettes, Cadillacs, Mercedes Benzs, and others. She came a long way from being that poor girl in Bakersfield, California to a successful businesswoman in the OC.
But here's the catch about my mom. She never forgot her roots. My mom was this successful lady who could have turned her back on poverty, but she didn't. Every week she would visit a local homeless shelter and would drop off clothes and food. She would sit with the occupants and chit chat with the. They loved her, my mom had a witty sense of humor. She donated to the Ronald McDonald House program regularly. She would buy shopping carts full of food for people standing on the streets with signs. She volunteered at a local pancake breakfast in the park and volunteered at the Senior Center. In the early 1980s my mom was well known in our community and was asked by the Mayor Pro Tem to run for a Councilmember position. My mom declined the invitation because she wanted to be there for her three children. Her children have always been the most important part of her life. My mom continued to do volunteer work up until she completely lost her eye sight. This unfortunately threw her into a deep depression, which she successfully hid from our family, with the exception of myself. I recognized the traits of depression and I attempted to open up with her about it but she was in denial.
I love my mom very much. She is a good person. This song is one of many ways that I honor her.

Great song! enjoyed the listen.
This is a very sweet story about your dear Mum. I will have to listen to your song when the rest of my household arenβt trying to sleep, it sounds intriguing!
A nice writing from you.
I have no knowledge about music, so I could only enter basic prompts into it. I agree what you do with it is sound engineering. Your song was very sweet and catchy! I loved it!
π΅ Thank you for reminding me of the power of love. Your words of tribute to your mother, in the music & short memoir, touched me on o so many levels. I know that I am fortunate to have visited your page today. π Your tribute is phenomenal!!!!!!
I LOVED that song! Very catchy and worthy of Top 40 consideration. It shows you have a clear understanding of music. And the content was heart-warming and considerate. It actually reminds me of the something The Weekend would release. Outstanding, Rick! π

Once again you managed to express your thoughts and feelings about your mother. I am starting to feel like I know her ( sure would be nice) or at least she has become like that distant Aunt everyone talks about. Great tribute Rick

Magnificent work Cousin! What a heartwarming tribute to Momma Isabel! BRAVO!
I know how important your mum is to you and it is lovely to meet her. The song was a wonderful tribute and expression of how you feel for her and catchy! I'll have it going round in my head today for sure. I know you're caring for your mum in the same way that she has cared for you but what you are doing is an admirable thing nonetheless. I have the utmost respect for you and what you are doing. You're amazing. I hope you get time to take care of yourself too, Rick. Hugs.
