Grandmother Snow White
Lives in Beauty for all her Relations

Grandmother Snow White (yes that's her real name), starts her day at 5:00 AM daily. After connecting with spirit, she tends to her garden one plant at a time. She greets them, she asks for fruits and tells them: "No other plant can make flowers for me the way you do." She treats each one specially unique and she also does this with everyone she meets. Her actions taught me that no matter what mood disguise people bring, they turn out to be, the exact energy exchange we need at any given moment and time.
What's special about Grandmother Snow White, is that from age one, she grew up as an orphan. Her mother died during her birth, and her father died a year later from an illness he encountered in his work as a biologist. Her parents had been traveling from Spain and so the neighbors from the country adopted her. She was literally raised by the people from the community; everyone checked in on her from week to week. As she grew up, she had this unique connection with everyone she met. It was as if everyone she encountered was her mother and father, her sister and her brother. She says she has never felt like an orphan in this lifetime.
Her most developed gift became connecting with others. Regardless of their frame of mind, grandmother Snow White loves to share her loving gratitude with grace. She sees each instance as an opportunity to express her appreciation for their presence in her life; perhaps even as a way to let life flow through her to service others. She always says: "When people forget about God, you must be God and show them Life's deep love, remind them where they really come from....who they truly are." This attitude has brought her many loyal friends and business relationships during financial challenges.
When grandmother Snow white married grandfather Pedro, they had seven children; true story! She had turned her gardens into a small farm and negotiated the purchase of cows, goats, chickens and other producers. She taught me that abundance can sprout from anything, and that one must never mix worrying with the abundant energy of the Universe. A memory comes to mind of a time when there were financial troubles at home. There was a terrible drought that summer, I remember the government would send emergency tanks of water weekly. That year, I learned the value of water to the point of humbly bowing to the clouds when they rained down on us. Needless to say, there had not been too many travelers to the countryside during that time; Just the regional neighbors stopped by to exchange goods and make smaller purchases like eggs or jugs of milk.
I remember that summer an oriental man was selling giant banana passion-fruits; rare to that area of the country. He was selling them for ten dollars each, which was very expensive at the time for the fruit. Grandmother snow white tried negotiating but the oriental man would not budge. She followed her heart and invested in these fruits the bit of money she had left from the week. Grandfather Pedro did not agree with the exchange, but grandmother Snow White always followed her heart; she then did something that I will never forget; she cut a thin slice added carnation milk with ice and made refreshments to sell for a dollar fifty each. She tripled her finances in one weekend and that's when I learned that abundance truly does sprout from itself. Abundance, can be self replicating if you learn to speak its language. I will never forget the smile in her eyes and grandfather Pedro's pride for his soulmate's wisdom.
Grandmother Snow White teaches us that the energy of connectivity, love and abundance work together to bring joyful nourishments for everyone involved. This is why no matter what life brings our way, we must always: let the water run. Never worry about it and most importantly, trust that what is for us, will never banish nor parish! Life always has our best interest at heart; pausing to connect to this perspective is part of grandmother's daily routine. She trusts life, so she lives happily ever after. May we also follow in her steps of trust and joy in overcoming life's teaching challenges, keeping our eyes above the waves and staying grounded in love. This is grandmother Snow White's recipe for living joyfully ever after.
