What skills are a plus in the current workplace?

After working for many years, there are a few skills that I think are universal in the workplace:
1, communication skills: not shy, straight to the point.
2, data ability: data first, reasonable and evidence-based.
3, copywriting ability: everything backup, report written well.

5. Management ability: self-management and time allocation.
First, communication skills workplace
There are two important points in communication, one is high emotional intelligence, the other is concise.
High emotional intelligence in many people's eyes is to say more "hard", a "thank you", but in fact, there is a very important point, is to respect everyone's time and energy, one reflection is that when you want to raise needs, it is best to think about the preconditions of things, development status, questions to ask and branches of the problem, rather than let people to ask you again and again.
For example, if you need to design because of an activity, it is necessary to say it at once: "The theme of the activity is xx, hoping to reflect the elements of xx, using the color of xx, the general idea of the copy will be xx, can xx be achieved, if not can xx program be adopted..."
Instead of:
"We're going to make an xx poster."
"Any requirements?"
"In line with xx theme, xx color."
"Have you got the copy in mind?"
"I think it's xx."
"Any other needs?"
"Is xx OK?"
...
In short, you want to minimize the number of conversations back and forth by prefiguring how the other person will respond to a need or question.
The second is to be concise.
When expressing an opinion, it is best to first state the conclusion, which is the main point of your expression, then state the evidence, which is why you believe it, preferably based on facts, and then give suggestions for implementation or improvement.
When you are questioned, say the answer first, do not say various causes and consequences first, say the answer first, everyone will know whether there is a problem, and then directional solution to the problem. In particular, even if you make a mistake, do not try to cover up and explain it first, but directly explain the problem, find a solution, and ensure the completion of the work to the greatest extent.
It should also be noted that in work, especially in cooperation, everyone is in order to achieve the work goal, because do not give rise to personal resentment for the idea of discord, as long as the other side can play a role in achieving the goal, come up with a professional attitude and cooperate well.
2. Data capability
The workplace does not believe in bread, only believe in results, the previous leadership can also draw cake for the workplace, and now the new people are learning smart, do not eat this set. So if you want people to believe in you, you need data.
For example, if you think that a certain platform is not suitable for key placement, it is necessary to analyze user data to see if users really do not match their own product users, such as gender, age, city distribution, content preferences... Instead of saying "I think" or "I think" based solely on your platform experience and public perception.
Sometimes you will find that the data is contrary to common sense, for example, we often think that men are more focused on crime, but in fact, a mystery story public account, female users than male users.
So data not only makes people trust you, it also makes you make fewer mistakes and make better decisions. For new people in the workplace, data ability is a springboard for the class, a new person wants to make their ideas valued, must come up with indisputable examples, that is, data, when you show the ability to speak with data, and creative consciousness, even if your program is not temporarily adopted, you will be seen.
It can be said that although data analysts are still a separate position, data analysis is becoming a necessary skill for workplace people, and in the era of big data, data tells you everything.
If you feel that data analysis is difficult and take time and don't want to learn, you can also consider an introductory course, simply learn some basic data analysis methods, understand the case, and at least increase your competitiveness on the basis of your own work.
Third, copywriting ability
Copywriting ability, one is the ability to write reports, planning, one is everything backup.
Good memory is not as good as bad pen, meetings, temporary ideas, brainstorming, or be sure to record it, otherwise the specific work is missing details, can not complete the work, or is no inspiration, forget the direction you want to try.
Keep track of tasks that you feel are dangerous to avoid becoming a scapegoat.
And you have to be able to write plans and reports.
One of the main points of writing a work document is similar to the communication skills mentioned earlier, and that is:
Start with the conclusion, like the conclusion of your investigation, or the action you planned.
Then explain the argumentation process, including data sources and analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of the current situation, etc.
Finally, the scheme, how to improve, how to implement.

4. Analytical ability

For example, printing documents, responding to messages, docking progress and communicating, these tasks actually do not require too much brain, and do not take too long, but if interspersed with some work that requires deep thinking (such as writing articles, thinking about solutions), it will disturb your thinking and hinder your thinking.
So each time you add a job, ask for delivery standards and timelines, and then maximize the entire block of time for work that requires deep thought.
The above is what I think is more important. Of course, the most important thing is not to think of work as the end of learning, to know that this is the real beginning of your life, learning has just begun.
