Top Priorities Are Top

It is important to have something that stays at the top of one's mind when making the links on a website that one is working on. When something is top of mind, it finds itself into the link.

After all, links are the very thing that keeps a website ticking. When someone interacts with the website one makes, they are actually clicking on the links and going where the links lead them. So the links are that important.

They warrant a top priority when they are made.

It's no scam. Prioritizing is one of management's first principles. It is science, a science to follow when one is seeking harmony in a world full of fluff.

So when one thinks of a link one is making, it is vital to think of what arises on top of the "cloud" of thoughts one is having about the links. What stays on top? That is a top priority for the links.

When there are so many, just so many things a link can be, it is very natural to feel overwhelmed when making a link on a website. After all, the link should not just slide by with nobody noticing it. That is not what the person making the website wants. So, top priorities come to play here.

My Story of A Priority

I was making this website for an ecommerce company. Now, that can really be a tricky thing. The reason I say this is that clients want newer and unseen things to be on ecommerce websites. And that can be challenging.

So, anyway, back to my website. I have this thing about making symbolic links. They are an emerging concept for ecommerce ones.

So that turned out to be one part of my top priority. Then I sat and braindumped everything that I wanted this particular link to be. It was after all, a very important part of that website.

So I just collected everything mentally. Then I visualized what this symbolic link would look like. Bam! That was when it hit me! That I has already envisioned the link to look like something. That was my top priority for the link.

Everbody has a thing that resembles their version of a link on a website. It is just there. One has to reflect on their thoughts while making the link to find out. That's what a top priority looks like.

It's nothing deceptive. Science has proved that humans think in a certain way when faced with confusion and choices. They tend to to lean towards a certain thing among all the chaos, and that is called prioritizing.

How Do I Find My Top Priority?

So, I'm faced with the task of creating links for a website. How do I start? How do I prioritize on what I want for my links? How do I even know that I have a top priority? These are questions I would have found myself asking. Actually, everyone tasked with a website faces these questions.

The human brain is full of signals on receiving a stimulus. "What to make of a link?" is the stimulus. It is an important thing is the first signal the brain comes up with. When told that something is important the human brain classifies it as such. Then it sends signals about that important thing. These signals are woven into a tapestry.

And that very tapestry is your top priority. So everyone has a top priority. But, it has to be found. Often, it is not that clear and loud. But in some cases, it is too. So, there is a process to find one's top priority.

If I had said something about it appearing like magic, I would be fooling you. It does not work like that. One has to tap into their brain and visualize to receive that tapestry of signals. Only after that can one find and know their top priority, and the same applies for the said links.

One More Reason To Prioritize

Often, and in almost all cases, people feel they do not have a second chance. The same is true of people working on the links of a website. The same is true of the companies that make these websites for clients. There is no second chance. One has to make the best first impression.

Yes, even something like a website has to impress at first blush. That is a reflection of the times we live in. People are so busy with work that every second counts. The earlier an impression is made on the client, the better.

That is why it is so crucial to present the best work or the best version of a website the first time around. And that is why doing quality work on a link on the website matters a lot.

To present that quality, one has to apply every bit of their mind to the task of making these links. The best way to do it is by being prepared with your top priority for the link. Each link matters, so it's best to know how important it is to be present and to have a top priority in the first place.

Final Thoughts

But first, top priorities for links! There's no getting away with not having a top priority. There always exists something at the top of one's mind. One has to just tap into it.

And one always can do it. With a little bit of presence and persistance, keeping on top of one's top priority for website links can be done.
