Hometown Teacher Heroes
Dear Teachers, Greetings, and congratulations. I am finally getting around to telling all of you, what a great job you did with me as your student. I made a few mistakes in my life – some of them big – but by and large, I made out alright. I could never have done it without your help. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know, what heroes you were to me during the time that I was with you in school. In fact, you did such an impressive job, that I became a teacher myself, hoping to pass on all I learned from you, to students here and there around the entire planet.

Person first, teacher second
Tuesday has always been my least favourite day of the week. You'd think it would be Monday, but you know Monday's not going to be great, and you can still reminisce about the lovely weekend you've just had. But not on Tuesday. On Tuesday, you've done a full day of work already, you're tired, you're not even halfway through the week, and any reminiscence is about the previous day, which, of course, was Monday.

Dear Harper Family
Dear Harper Family, If I had written this a half century ago there would have been a chance that you might actually receive this letter of thanks. I have reflected many times over the past decades how you Connie Harper, your husband Clinton, and his brother Clifton and sister-in-law Myrtle Harper helped shape my life.

A Letter to You
Dear You, You are unaware of the impact you have had on me. You probably don’t even remember me. But I remember You. In those days I was just a kid, concerned with popularity, trying to fit in, not really giving a thought as to what my aspirations were. And yet, You saw right through me. You saw my potential and led me to believe that there was hope for achieving my dreams.

No Experience, No Training, Good Luck
Adventures of Miss Tee and The Little Yellow Buses Ahem, I’m going to get on my soapbox. I would like to give a huge amount of love to all the paraeducators, instructional aides (be it sped or general) and behavior interventionists. Nobody ever gives us the credit we deserve. It may sound arrogant to say but we run those classrooms. Those special ed classes can not survive without us. We know these kids better than the teachers do because we’re with them all the time. We know their tics, habits, stims, what will set them off, what brings them comfort, what makes them sick and what makes them well.
